On my way to KSM

Man its been painful to so far.

Currently have

Two 13+
Three 12+
Three 11+

Slow but getting there little by little, its gonna be hard to do the 14 and 15+ though…

I rarely get invited, since im a Melee DPS and Shroud isnt that important this expansion compared to others.

But oh well, it is what it is, btw this was largely Pug.

For those on their way there, how is it going so far?

Nice! I wonder how much longer we have to reach KSM.

This is my first time healing, and the first time we have a solid group to run keys with. We’re all working towards it. I’m guessing we fall short this season, but next season accomplish it.

Having a blast! Good luck on your journey!

Best of luck to you & hope you get it:) I’m in a similar boat with arcane but thankfully performance seems to speak for itself. Hovering around 12/13. Most my times rebuilding keys from pugs.

I think i have 4 15’s timed so far, prior to the valor system i had no interest in getting KSM and only really did one dungeon per week but now i’m being a little more proactive about trying to ensure i tick one off where i can. I’m in no hurry though because none of my gear can be upgraded atm, also the VP will just keep building up so i can spend it all when i get it done.

Finally got there this week. Trust me your class is still loved however it takes so much to stand out. But on weeks like this and next when trash mobs are so annoying having your ccs there are clutch.

As to how was the ride it was rough. I pugged most of the way and mostly focused on my key until i had about all 14s in time. Queing for the missing keys here and there from 11-15. Then to get the achievement I almost exclusively had to focus myself on 1-3 dungeons at a time to learn them well enough to carry or be a part of the carry team. One of the best groups I was in we all averaged out around 5.5K by a .1k difference per person.

Also the higher you go, especially 15s, the more important it will be to have a proper lust and a covenant specific player. What sucks is that sometimes that means waiting extra long or getting declined because you are the wrong covenant. So be patient and close the game and go for a walk if the community is not doing it for you. Do world quests or even play another game while you wait.

Rogue is definitely wanted in keys but as long as your outlaw. If you are sub or assasin good luck. Honestly don’t join keys you will have much better luck being patient in lfg with your keys.

Outlaw is great in keys for almost every affix. Acrobatics talent in spiteful makes it so easy xD

I pug all my keys as well. My keys are always more successful when I form the groups instead of joining. I only join people’s keys on my monk main cause he’s in maintenance mode and I just do one 15 or 14 a week because I love my rogue to much.

No news of 9.1, at least 2 months for sure.

Well Spiteful isnt that hard to deal with, our CC allows us to stun the one targeting us long enough for it to die if im facing a strong enemy which requires my full attention, and in large groups im largely using Crimson Tempest since Ruptures are up so i just dance around spamming Fan the Knives and Crimson Tempest

I also Kidney Shot other Shades to help allies when i dont have one on me.

Ahh assasin! I have noticed there damage is no longer trash tier. I think they are steady middle now! I’ll probably have to try it in a key eventually once I get two daggers. I definetly love all 3 rogue specs but I’m the type to always play the best for that content haha. Plus I haven’t been able to play with the SL changes to assassin’s talents and everything

sounds like a waste. Shades are better left to druids and shaman.

Thing is that dmg breaks Druids vines, and sometimes we really need the Shade to not be a problem, specially on small places or during some mechanic, like the slam attack from the stone gargoyles in Sanguine

That seems more like the group is incompetent.
Trust your team, and don’t do things inefficiently.

I mean, if i deal with the Shade which barely affects me unlike casters, its better overall, hell, me doing dmg slows them down already due to the poison.

Doing 11s and timed a 12. Trying to slowly go up.

Not using globals on shade leads to more damage elsewhere.

Youre forgetting a lot of my dmg is DoT based, so i dont lose much.

Where’s your ksm?

Ccing shades is 100% worthwhile and helpful especially with more melee. You don’t lose out on that much using utility and you can do both at the same time.

Keep it going man. I did it the same way. Slow and steady. Rogue is still a good pick, you just don’t want to apply to a group that’s already heavy on melee. The first 15 is the killer lol. After that you’re all set!

Already completed on another character. Not sure how it categorizes stuff on alts though.

Oh here:

Fair, you are right I didn’t see that, my fault.

Imo in a coordinated group you can trust your resto druids and mages to cc but not in random pugs, and 1 global cd for a free gouge or a Marked for death stun that you can use again in 10 seconds totally worth.

Cool that you have 2 priest though lol that’s commitment to the cause!
