On Crafting

In retail I plain gave up crafting a while ago. I’ve since opted for gathering professions for money, but in BfA I don’t really need money, so I’ve lost interest even in gathering things. My verdict as a casual is that professions are no longer useful or fun.

Now my memory of vanilla is different. I wanted to craft things, and the things you could craft were competitive. You NEEDED those flasks, and much of your time was spent gathering the mats. I never enchanted but it seemed like it was a big deal at the time.

I’m excited to perhaps get back into crafting. I miss it being something important. I haven’t felt that my beloved alchemy has truly made a difference in years and years…

I am too. Now that I know how the AH works and the value of crafted items, or materials to make needed craftables, I’m excited to see how quickly I’ll be able to make the gold for my epic mount(s).

As someone who really gets into crafting in MMOs, I am right there with you! I will be making at least one of every crafter and maybe even one of each specialization (armorsmith, tribal leatherworker, etc.) depending on the toons I create. Especially looking forward to an alchemist, enchanter, tailor and blacksmith.

Especially for leather wearers. You can sometimes upgrade your own gear with leatherworking as a leather wearer which is really nice

Lol…and I guess mail/plate wearers along with clothies get their profs too

I’m very excited to get back into crafting/gathering in game. Retail is too easy to outlevel what you can craft and going back to lower zones (while can be profitable) is not desirable. During the stress test, I found myself spending a huge chunk of time mining and crafting armor/weapons along with questing. I fully expect this to carry over when classic goes live. #stoked

Same boat-- While I only crafted as a minigame, I dropped all crafting professions in Legion. They were a completely worthless.

Might actually take it seriously in Classic.

Go engineering since its required to use stuff. A gathering prof for second.

All the craftable wep and armor from BS and leatherworking is BoE so just sell mats with your second prof and buy what you need.
