It’s infinitely worse than simply running on foot and mounting to fly between objectives. There’s no argument that running at 100% speed on a horse on foot is better than that. It’s ludicrous to even suggest it.

The argument is to mix it up between ground and flight, There is 100% a purpose to using the ground combat mount if you want to pvp or pull lots of mobs in for collect quests, Or item collect quests where they are not spread to far apart

and then theres open world pvp where the talent is extremely good
