I literally lvl a new character. Get to 60. Complete covenant. End up around ilvl ~200 and hit a wall.
Yup
For players like me who can’t do heroic nathria or high mythic keys, 200 is the end.
Feelsgreat
You know the avenues to get higher gear. Climb the wall and press on!
This is it. Running low lvl mythics doesn’t result in any meaningful gear increase. RBGs are difficult to PuG. Nathria LFR is meh.
Don’t have time, or probably the skill.
At this moment it is not attainable, nor has it been for a long time.
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Covenant gear is too good and quick to get.
Being able to skyrocket to normal raid item level, bypassing a ton of casual content, is bad.
Giving a fast & freebie M+6 gear was a mistake.
I’m not necessarily only yearning for more gear, but rather the feeling of progression. I wish there was just something more to do outside mythic+ and raiding.
“iT’s nOt FrEe, YoU nEeD tO fArM aNiMa tO uPgRaDe”
I think this is right. It trivializes everything below M+6. But then we’d have an even bigger ilvl gap. Between the raiders/gladiators/M+7 and AYOGs.
I can understand that, but maybe it’s time to press into a little harder content. FFXIV had lfg groups posted as learning groups. Maybe it’s time to gather and rise to the occasion “casuals”!
I don’t have the time, because I’m a casual player.
I just want normal mode to be made not irrelevant by covenant gear.
When I get this one to that point, its all legacy content from there!
I don’t think gear is the issue I think lack of end game content that is not tied exclusively to group content.
Blizzard most likely assumed that this gap would be filled by Torghast and the maw though it seems like most try and do this as little as possible
Just not legion, because Ion in his infinite wisdom says it’s fine (:
The same end game that’s always been in the game is still here. I don’t get what people mean by this when they say this.
Torghast being completely meaningless outside of getting your mount and soul ash is a huge disappointment. The fact that nothing in there carries over is sad.
It would be cool if completing torghast gave you a cool additional ability for the week based on spec/wing/level. At least then you’d have something beyond just some stupid soul ash for your effort.
Maybe you could even improve your weekly buff to a certain point by running torghast more often.
Hell, the buff could give you something like +25% Wild Hunt experience or something. At least that would be dynamic.
The freebie gear is too high and too easy to be earned, it should’ve took 3 months minimum for full set solo quest gear.
This would have helped. I’d happily grind a set of gear over three months doing quests/instances/etc.
There were rep grinds that were meaningful, professions progression had better end game as well as pacing.
And working on your Sanctum / weapon upgrades were also paced better and felt meaningful (Not comparing to BFA because I also thought that game had meh solo endgame)
Then BG’s would have been even worse of a #%^# show and pvp would be in worse state
If your going that route then mythic and heroic raids should not be able to be cleared at least for 2-3 months like old school 40 man raids that had walled resistance checks slowing down guilds
Are there not reps in Shadowlands?
I can’t say because I literally haven’t ever done professions, but haven’t they been gutted for years? Also professions now give you legendaries. What better end game is there?
