The stack size for Ominous Conchs has been reduced to Unique (20). I had a stack of 55 for summoning for the “We’re Going to Need a Bigger Harpoon” achievement last night. When I logged in today, I noticed my stack was only at 20 and the text on the item had been updated to Unique (20). I spent hours collecting these conchs and do not see any information regarding a hotfix to the stack size.

Same thing for me and it prevents me from completing scaring otter quest.
Is this intentional? I don’t see it mentioned. What is the point? Isn’t this a bit late in the game for this sort of ‘tweak’ even if there is some vague rationale?

This also messes up the fishing hole weekly quests, as they will fail to autocomplete if you have more than 15 conch in your inventory.

I’m in the same position. I had somewhere around 60 of them and suddenly log in today to see them all gone. I’m really mad. 
I spent a LOT of time fishing and picking up tackle boxes for those. For exactly the same achievement as you.
There was LITERALLY no reason to change this item and it was completely irresponsible to change it without any prior warning at all!!
This has wasted probably an entire DAY of my time by just POOFNG away items I was actively collecting.

I was farming this on and off for the last couple of days. This is by far the worst grind I’ve done in DF (400+ tackleboxes) and I’m almost done with meta achievement.
Blizzard needs to come out of the bush and explain what the fudge they are thinking? Why a stealth nerf? Why remove 80 conches (for me), are they so incompetent they did not realize what would happen if they made it unique 20? And why dear god change a fishing achievement tied to the meta achievement only weeks before it’s deadline? Are they intentionally trying to piss people off?
If it’s unintended (I mean… I can’t see any other reason than it is) then they need to revert it/compensate the people who lost hours upon hours of time in conches. Respect our time my a**.

They didn’t just delete conchs by making them limiting them to 20, but they also significantly increased the cooldown from 1 minute to 5.
It’d be nice to see some explanation on this stealth hotfix and what it’s supposed to accomplish.

They saw that people wasn’t spending as much time in panda remix as they thought so they had to keep people subbed somehow? Extending the FOMO meta achievement seemed like a good idea to them perhaps?

OMG not only did they nerf the stack size with no notice, when I logged out and in again I lost ALL my conches over 20. Literally a couple hundred between all my characters.
This is not remotely OK. If you nerf something like that you must give notice.

It’s almost release day for TWW, and still this is broken. I hadn’t even noticed the break until I logged in on a neglected alt, did the “update” thing, and now all my conches are stuck in my mailbox. I mean… at least they weren’t deleted, but even if I shove the 20 stack in my bank, I get “I can’t carry any more of those” if I try to extract them. Come on, Blizz… what gives with the borked conches?!
It isn’t going to be fixed or changed again at this point.
