Olea Cache

They cost 700 Cyphers. I got 15 gold and 20 Genesis Motes.

Underwhelmed to say the least. Is there maybe a chance at a mount drop in there or something?

Chance at a cosmetic staff. That’s all.

Progenitor Essentia apparently has a 43% droprate from those things. And this cosmetic can also drop:

Progenitor Essentia, too.

so mad. I have purchased 15 olea cache trying to get the mawforged bridle needed to make the protogenesis mount Darkened Vombata

15 (fifteen) olea cache boxes and no bridle. that is over 10,000 cyphers

The Mawforged Bridle is a guaranteed drop from the High Value Cache inside the raid Sepulcher of the First Ones, more specifically before Artificer Xy’mox’s room. This has a weekly lockout. (The High Value Cache will NOT spawn on LFR difficulty)

It is also a rare drop (0.5%) from the Olea Cache sold by the automa Olea Manu outside Exile’s Hollow for 700x Cyphers of the First Ones after completing the Jiro to Hero storyline .

That’s a pretty low drop rate from the Olea Cache.

Actually, they just gave you another possibility besides raiding. The raid is the way to go to get the item.

They really should increase the drop chance of good stuff in there or decrease the price.

Yeah. I think the drop rates would be okay if they weren’t 700 cyphers. Halving that price would work wonders, though I personally feel that 200 cyphers would be the best price.

I will admit that the drops in those are incredibly disappointing

They are just giving you options, plus giving you something to spend Cyphers on once you’ve finished the system.

It is still crap.

Why do they do this stuff? Here force you to run in the raid BUT can’t do it in LFR. Just WHY? This is a 15 year old game, not everyone can sit for hours on end in a raid environment. I’d go out on a limb and say MOST of the player base can’t do that. Its why LFR is useful for that player base and alts.

Also for 700 price tag, we do not get nearly enough of the actual materials the players are hoping for. I’ve only ever received greens and 252 gear that is immediately vendored because I am wearing M+ gear.

The price tag doesn’t bother me; once you’ve done the console and bought the other stuff like the toy and pets; there is nothing to spend cyphers on – so, once they stack to 700 dump them on a cache. At this point, you are probably so done that you are like me – wanting the Enlightened paragon cache for the engineering portal or farming (way too much) for the pets and mounts. There is no other reason to be there.

No different than a low drop rate on a mount.

I still don’t have Ashes of Alar because of the low drop rate. I won’t have the mount that requires the raid item as an ingredient.

Nothing is promised. As it always has been with drops, unless they are 100 percent drop rate.

I have a whole list of mounts and pets I don’t have yet because RNG. That’s ok. Keeps me working for them and makes it feel good when I get them.

Doesn’t make me feel bad when I don’t get them because I accept the fact that it is part of the game to keep trying to get them. Its why they are rare.

Way to screw over LFR folks as usual

Bascially… you don’t raid, that mount isn’t for you.

Same for mounts that only drop during raids. LOTS of mounts only drop in Raids.

The difference is, they actually give you a “chance” to get the mount by getting the bridle from the Olena Cache.
