Older Player Guild

I don’t spend a lot of time on the forums, so I apologize if looking for a guild here is taboo, but the guild finder is full of dead or dormant guilds, and I’m getting tired of scrolling.

I’m a long-time player, but have essentially been playing solo for many, many years. Loneliness has gotten the better of me, so I’m looking for a guild on Moon Guard that does a bunch of everything. I’d like to learn to do dungeons in all the roles, raid, PVP, RP, you name it. I want to get more from the game than I can get alone, and it’d be nice to have people to talk to about cool in-game stuff. I have too many alts, so a guild that has room for those would be nice, too.

I’m “old” with a wife and kids, so I’m looking for someplace that gets that life has limits. I’m in the easter time zone, so it would be nice to have players on the same clock. I also want a guild with a little patience because while I’m eager to learn, I’m certain I probably currently suck and end up standing in the “red stuff” or falling off platforms from time to time. I know very little about PVP, but again, would like to learn. I’m receptive to light RP as a way to expand the lore and have fun, but I don’t think I’d be great at heavy RP.

What about it Moon Guard? Is there a guild out there for me to join and help me enjoy what I love about this game and help me grow as a player, too?

Hey man. I think Moon Guard has what you want, but it will take some searching. We have a lot of relaxed guilds who dabble in everything, included light RP and are totally fine with new players.

The Moon Guard forums are absolutely meant for guild finding, as well as server events - so just put some feelers out as much as you can. I can’t necessarily direct you to the ‘right’ guild for you as I myself am only involved in heavy RP, but if I can find any myself I will return to this thread.

For now, good luck!

Hi!

Sounds like Flashbang’s got what you need.

(If you play horde)

Flashbang Exports is a goblin rp guild that also does pve and pvp.

Join our discord https://discord.gg/hDy8Ktg and see if the gob life is for you.

Feel free to hit up Vigilants of Tyr. Some of us are old farts!! We also have scheduled weekly RP events and do M+ dungeon crawls. You can be a total newbie (like me) and no one will get Gamer mad at you if you stand in the fire or mess up the mechanics. On one boss I killed all our dps :v: Also very laid back about not making events, we know people have lives outside the game.

Been with most these peeps for years when we were on WRA.

Here is our guild post. Feel free to join Discord, even if you don’t decide your join the guild you’re more than welcome to hang in discord with us.

There’s also been chit chat about starting up cask n anvil again. Light hearted public social rp event run by Moddy. Those were always some of my favorite rp sessions with the gang.

While I don’t really have a specific guild to recommend, I can tell you there are plenty around that would fit what you’re looking for. I’m not really a heavy RPer either, and I kind of do a bit of everything. I’ve found plenty of groups around with similar interests. I’ve heard good stuff about the above two suggestions, too!

Thanks! On MG, I’m full of Alliance characters, so probably not a great fit for me, though your guild sounds great!

You should look for Quill and Sword in the guild finder. We are mostly made up of working adults, in fact we have an age requirement of 21+. Don’t worry, it isn’t an erp guild. We just prefer socializing and gaming with fellow adults. Quite a few of us are 30s and older. It’s an active guild with a variety of different events (M+, raid, karaoke nights, movie nights, old raid nights, drunken raid nights, etc.). I’ve really enjoyed my time here. It’s low to zero drama and relatively casual though some do push higher keys.

You can join my guild if you want to. They are casual and its all age groups. Mostly a late night guild though. You can check them out with an alt. and talk to them on disc. if you wish to. (Its Horde though)

Check out The Fourth Kind on Alliance MG. We are a mix of older and younger and we love to do random activity together, including weekly karaoke!

Check out my guild, The Lost Einherjar. I’m 40 and a father of two, we have multiple other parents in the guild and the average age is likely higher than most guilds out there, if that matters to you. Most of us have too many alts, no issues there. We dabble in a few things, but mostly focus on raid and M+. Some PVP for fun.

Personal anecdote— I’ve been with them since 2016 which makes it my longest tenured stay with any guild in 17 years. I really clicked with them. Friendly and laid back, honestly no pressure for just about anything. Raiding brings some minor requirements for competency, of course, as we always clear Ahead of the Curve for each tier.

Guild is a little dead right now given the point of the xpac we’re in, and WotLK classic being out, but most likely will be bumping again by DF.

Message me on Discord at Yoffee#9639 and we can chat or I can link you to our “official” recruitment post details.

Cheers!
