Any chance we ever see this? I feel like I can’t be alone in not being crazy about the current iteration. Would love to see a glyph option for the classic shadowform appearance.

I would actually love to see a glyph to change it to just an outline-style form, similar to the shirt from Mechagon. This would let you actually see your armour if you wanted!

People have been screaming for glyphs for Shadowform since cosmetic glyphs became a thing.
And Blizzard has ignored everyone since cosmetic glyphs became a thing

What they want is terribly boring and nostalgia driven, just play classic if you want a boring transparent effect.
What they want is a cosmetic OPTION that wouldn’t affect anyone who doesn’t use it
Why should they be forced to play an entirely different game for something so minor? Especially when the system to implement it is already in retail
For the same ppl who still wanted to use old models in retail, embrace the future or play the old game that has your beloved boring shadow effect.
The game should move further, not keeping on old disgusting effects for the sake of nostagia.
Yeah, we should remove all the glyphs other specs have to keep old things
Like that Druid glyph for old cheetah form, delete it because enjoying something cosmetic isn’t allowed when it’s not current

I just want the game to evolve and not have it be hampered by people wanting old graphics from retail, which they can readily go and play.
There is a ‘new’ Shadow Form implemented in the 9.1.5 patch that legitimately looks like a living Shadow.
I wish I could link an image here, but I’m not able to. But if you go to wowhead and look up "Maw-ocular Viewfinder, you can see the Shadow Form effect there. Personally would love to see it become a Shadow Form option for priests.

Old model options got taken away because they simply didn’t work or look correctly with the new animations that were given to every class/race in legion. Literally an apples to oranges comparison.
Old shadowform should definitely be a glyph and it looked really good with certain xmogs. There really also should be a glyph for PW:Shield that makes it more shadowy.
Blizzard really is sleeping on the glyph system for who knows what reason.

Its a very boring effect, dont try to say it looks good with some xmogs when it just makes you darker and see through.
Evolve beyond playstation era effects.

*I just turned off “Particle Density” in setting and my goodness does it look way better now…Just hope it doesn’t affect other parts of my gameplay…AKA Raiding and PVP.
