Im attempting to return to wow after not playing since about 2012. Ive successfully had my wow account merged to my battlenet acct after putting in a ticket. I went to the server Scilla i used to play on and found my old characters… my 19 was squished to 9 and the time i put into that 19 was insane. I had two Shadowfangs and also Assassins Blade , the squished time is whatever, but now these weapons are nothing like 1-2 damage or whatever, so I was like you know what I just want to get on wow and have fun like i used to so ill just play my character on classic, but…
Scilla isnt on classic and apparently that isnt an option?
is there any solution to fix this problem and not have to start completely fresh on classic?
or atleast get my weapons transferred to the new character if I had to create one?
if not its silly to of even made classic if old players cant come back to the game and pvp the way they used to have fun on it which is the whole reason I came back !
If no solution and you have recommendations of top rack pvp fun, please tell me what you suggest and realm…

Classic and retail are completely separate, Classic came along in 2019 and you had to start from the beginning, at level 1. There is no transfer between them, either.
Are you planning to start on the Era realms or the Wrath realms? Like Classic and retail there is no moving between them. Era is like Vanilla, levelling up to 60 and Wrath, well that’s obvious.
There are also Hardcore realms coming but no one knows when, they are a realm where you only get one life and your characters journey ends when you die, even once.
Retail and classic are completely separated. Every single one of us who started to play classic in 2019 had to make a new char. You are no exception.
Right now you have a choice to play either on wotlk classic or classic era (vanilla).
If you last played in 2012 those characters would be in the current game which has progressed on to the current expansion “Dragonflight”. Among other things the game seems to have done a level squish.
If your thing is low level twinking WoW Classic Era or Classic WotLK might be a fun place to play and it wouldn’t take that much to get there. A lot less than joining the patch treadmill WoW became in later expansions.

You’d have to restart, but there is alot of new players coming back on! feel free to hop onto any of the PvP realms that you can grab your name on! all realms are connected so- just hop on any!

Restarted on Classic last week and so far it’s been a blast.
