This is a question for those in the beta. Are the jokes that were removed from the game later in its life due to political correctness or unsavory references (example: male troll joke “I kill two dwarves”) being added back in as they were in vanilla, or have they been left out?

Maybe. The thing about the “i kill two dwarves” is that it borders on breaking copyright law, which would be incredibly hypocritical since that’s a major part of why classic is being made.
Art shouldn’t be changed, don’t censor the michelangelo’s david, bring those jokes back.

It’s literally the exact melody of the song, only changing the phrase to “kill two dwarves”, for a band that most of the members are still alive and playing together, how does that fall under fair use?
That joke was removed due to a cease and desist notice from the original creator of the referenced material, so it isn’t coming back.

Copy write most likely has nothing to do with it. Likely removed for PC culture “Feelings” BS reasons due to some BS offended group of idiots who don’t know how to be adults.

copyright / patent don’t protect your creations, they just allow you to sue someone in court for it. ( or the right to use it in a parody).
My guess is blizzard, wether they are right or wrong, don’t want to spend time and $$$ in court for something that’ll bring them 0 dollars back… like many cases, who is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ don’t matter as much as who have enough time/money/care strongly enough about the issue
It had nothing to do with copyright issues. It’s a drug joke that was deemed to be politically incorrect.

Most likely the cause, just look at other things that were changed because “offended” idiots ruined the game.
