thunderfury isn’t earned though. it’s not a competitive thing
it’s an rng thing where your raid lead awarded the bindings to whoever he liked best and the guild enslaved its members to funnel mats to the chosen
pvp is the opposite where you take progress away from people. the only pve thing comparable to pvp is hall of fame and m+ rank1

Givin’ me bad flashbacks of '05 raiding when my raid guild didn’t assemble a single legendary until Wrath. Mind you, we cleared all of vanilla except C’thun and we cleared one boss in Naxx 40, and we managed to do all of Burning Crusade before the pre-patch nerfed Sunwell.
RNG despised my raiding guild so much that we didn’t get a single legendary weapon until Val’nyr or w/e it’s called from Wrath. Which is a measure of time invested, not luck.
Still, it’s a fair point that timed exclusives are kinda dumb. Instead of locking out gear- which people clearly care a lot about- they should have made titles or visual effects exclusive or something similar.
That is your interpretation, don’t presume that we are all going to agree with you.
At the end of the day both activities require effort and time, you spent significantly less effort and time than the people that did it when it was current, the difference being that you still got access to it while we can’t get access to the elite sets, why is the time of the pve community less valuable than the time of the pvp community?
And I will ask again since you have been avoiding the question, why do you care so much about what other people do instead of caring about yourself?
On top of this bring back mage tower stuff for all the legion mogs to! I mean legion time-walking isn’t until December anyhow, so do the right thing and bring back all the mage tower sexiness plz!
I think that an alternative tint of the og appearances could’ve been cool, like they did with the bear.

But they can’t even get their egos in check enough to bring back removed STORYLINE (end of MoP and WoD). So I have little hope of this happening, although I’ve eaten crow before.
at the end of the day one was implemented into the game with the intention of being removed after the season (making it a time limited prestige item) and the other wasnt. one is a trophy for that season, the other isn’t. completing thunderfury with your guild in 2005 didnt take away a thunderfury from another guild
And the only fair way for people to obtain Mythic gear sets is to clear it while relevant.

No. Time sensitive means time sensitive. Elite sets are trophies intended to be removed at the end of the season, as has been the case since their initial incarnation.
Challenge modes. Elite sets. AOTC mounts. Etc. All of these are prestige rewards and should remain gone. Set your sights on new rewards.
First of all, you are still evading the question.
Second, you didn’t take it away from anyone, the elite sets required you to get to 2k rating when the season was current, there weren’t a limited amount of elite pvp sets to distribute, most people with that mindset could get them given they had the time, what you are talking about falls more into the hero of the horde/alliance bucket where only less than 1% of the people will get it, that yes, you are talking it away from other people, but not the elite sets.
Like other people have said before, stop being a snowflake, you are not.
it does take it away though, every time you lose your rating goes down, and some never make it to their goal. i’ve watched friends go from 2390 to 2250 and just not get the tabard, while everyone who beat them got closer to it
it matters to me because pvp matters to me and those prestige items meant something, and taking away the prestige from them ruins the items. i’m actually against pve not having time limited items other than challenge sets. i wish every tier had an exclusive set only CE raiders got so that they could have a meaningful cosmetic as well
I just wish they’d make the current rival sets interesting.
This. We need more time sensitive and motivating rewards. Not less. Opening up old time sensitive items ruins their prestige, and they’re no longer trophies, which is the point of their implementation.
Instead, ask for more time sensitive rewards which require effort so you too can have something which means something to you.

Yes because back in 2014/2015 I got the elite set on my druid, or rather, I got the minimum qualifications to buy it, and then the season ended so I only have the chest/shoulders and gloves or something, cant remember exactly.
