I always feel my blood run cold when I queue up for Blackrock Depths, as I know that I’ll wind up with a group who wants to do the whole thing instead of the wing, or Stratholme, as people will inevitably open the mailboxes or the tank will try doing big pulls.
You just queued cringe, dude
I loved BRD back in the day, especially full runs. Don’t have time for that these days though.
The remade dungeons are all cringe.
I never understood why people do this, is there a purpose?
It spawns a rare boss who…drops a toy now, I think.
Zone in
Detention Block
Me: “This could be quick”
Group grabs quests and runs off towards that rock boss
Leaves group
He can drop transmog items too.
That literally just happened to me on my Shaman.
Except I managed to brow beat them into doing the wing after beating the rock boss.
Most of the Cataclysm dungeons make me cringe. You kind of need to know the mechanics decently and so many don’t. Thankfully I enjoy Pandaria and the open world content in that level range right now.
For the currently “Vanilla” dungeons, BRD is pretty bad, especially when you get people who like to just do the last bit, but insist on jumping directly towards the mob group that’s across the way from the drill pod to bring them all chasing you.
Either Stratholme. One side always has one adventurer who thinks they can take the whole zone, or they don’t think about waiting for me, the tank, to pull mob packs back away from patrols so we don’t drag a third of the dungeon to us.
LBRS. A fascinating dungeon, but I think some people are just so done with constant queuing by that point that they get reckless. It’s often easier to run than the Stratholmes with just a little bit of sensible placement, but that doesn’t always happen.
Dire Maul West. The quest chain literally has you run all over the dungeon, and people often forget to drop the Wardens down before tackling the big tree, until they come running down the ramp to wipe the group. I’ve survived that once out of about 20 times that happened.
Pretty much, anything that queues in the 45-59 range can go to hell for all I care. The dungeons aren’t all bad (except size in LBRS and BRD, and DMW’s quest ping ball), it’s just easier for those dungeons to go bad if someone isn’t paying attention.
If you cringe at old dungeons you are a weak spirited fop
That was an unnecessary thing to say.
It just seems people pretty much complain about every little aspect of the game on the forums. From visions to dailies to old content. Do people find any enjoyment in anything about the game anymore?
wailing carverns is the most unfun dungeon in the history of wow and nothing can ever change my mind.
I’m not very fond of Uldaman
Guess it would be Dire Maul lol. Never liked that one.
The Oculus.
Let’s see…
Blackrock Depths
The Black Morass
Halls of Stone
Halls of Reflection (cause everyone would bail when it popped up)
Throne of the Tides
Stormstout Brewery
Grimrail Depot
As much as I like Dire Maul, it really feels like the designer scaled the map up 300% in an attempt to make the place seem “grand.”
I get you on the BRD one. It can be the fastest and easiest exp you’ll ever gain. But many don’t take the skip to the only two bosses you need.
Culling of Stratholme I’ll leave instantly if it appears. That 20 minutes of RP!
Halls of Stone, you know which boss. Violet Hold and Black Morass. I’m not really a fan of wave-style fights. Gnomeregan gets a little tense too. Will they go straight down or turn left to that awful trogg boss? I try to jump down fast in the hopes they’re forced to follow and won’t make that turn.
