Old Cover Style of Expansion Set

Hi guys! I think I’m not the only one who noticed that the new expansions after BfA there was no more the unique WoW art style in the cover of the expansion set. Maybe it sounds like nothing important or that really matters for some people but, to me that likes a lot the Blizzard art it was a very important and amazing thing every time. A really part of the greatness of the game and new story ahead.

Did you guys noticed and agree too? I beg that Blizzard brings it back on Midnight and TLT.

I’m not even sure what you’re referring to.

The physical boxes of the game? My collector’s editions continue to follow the trend they always have. They look amazing.

I assume they’re referring to the standard edition “character in a ring” box arts. They’ve been using the full key art for those since BfA.

Thinking about it though, it’s kind of amusing that the login screen has sort of taken up the “thing in a ring” mantle, just with scenery instead of a character.

Yep! that’s it. I also discovered that after BfA the game no longer has a physical edition of the standard version, only of the collector’s edition. Even the collector’s edition of TWW itself doesn’t have the iconic “character in a ring” box art. I really wish Blizzard brings it back :frowning:

None of the Collector’s Editions have that.

Came across a video that showed off all the standard box art of each expansion. I do agree, vanilla through legion slapped. BfA does remind me of Warcraft 2.

I really hope with the return of Metzen that comes back too. It feels like to me the game have lost something of its essence, very sad. And I really don’t understand why they did this, it doesn’t make any sense.
