Old content with new achievements is not new content

the irony of this statement is hilarious

i was speaking generally in the latter half, but what I quoted from you wasn’t a “suggestion” either
nor is any of the other mindless complaining across threads right now

You and one other person that constantly complains about everything are the only ones I saw complaining about an achievement.

Because you are.

rolls eyes

This is often the case when someone is making a dishonest argument.

This is like the third time you’ve said this.

“someone had a different opinion. I need my echo chamber”

Actually hilarious.

No, we just have a couple of pot stirrers who dont understand how things work. Who just showed up on the forums to cause drama.

Did anyone at any point say it was “new”?

And here we are. Moving goal posts.

crying about the horrific visions. people expect everything to be brand new models and zones and quests and whatnot even on .5 and.7 patches now days. then they complain that the new stuff they do get isn’t good enough or to buggy even though they want blizz to shovel out content every other month.

fomo is literally a you problem not a dev problem. jesus you need to learn some self control or something

and seperate the players into tons of different stuff and then people cant find group or do anything that requires more than solo play. and this isnt a purely solo play game. dear lord its a 3 week time gate… that’s there because players like you will burn yourself out right away and then complain about it. blizz has been there done that already.

It’s a minor patch with gear catchup mechanics. You expect actual new content before 11. 2?

That lasted all of 20 minutes. You make it really hard to take anything you say seriously.

If they say they are introducing a patch it should have something new in it. otherwise don’t release a patch. all their patches lately have so many bugs and for what? rehashed old content?

I don’t mind old content being released, I actually like it, but don’t try to dress it up as something that it isn’t.

As far as content goes, nothing new is better vs something bad/buggy/annoying

But you won’t be able to understand that, will you

adding worthy rewards to dead content is a need though, this world needs to become living not dead which it is

That’s not how it works.

That’s not how those words work.

It was never dressed up as something it wasn’t.

Can you show me once where it was stated to be NEW?

As long as they aren’t time-limited (FOMO), I’m happy with them doing that

i too hate that some of the decent stuff out there is time limited, its like we have it but we dont, and when we dont im bored

Ironically, I think if Blizzard simply left a lot of the stuff in place that they had made time-limited, we would have more casual players doing evergreen content because it would be very hard for them (particularly newer players) to run out of stuff to do. If someone doesn’t like group content they would have a wealth of content.

And also, group content seems to work better when it is more focused. Keeping PVP power gains within PVP, and PvE power gains within raid, dungeons, and delves keeps things clean. Adding a special item from new, real, content is good when they can swing it but I don’t expect that.

Everyone thinks I was talking about visions. While I don’t exclude visions, the real target of this OP was the new feats of strength that were added to the game in 11.1.5 with NO new in-game content to go with them … i.e. the Enterprising Dungeon Master feats of strength

No reason to have these Dragonriding events in Outland, EK and Kalimdor etc spaced out like that and only lasting for a few weeks. They are so much fun :frowning: Or this Dastardly Duos that is coming up now, once again time-limited (and timegated too, weekly) and no idea when and if it is returning.

I understand actual seasonal stuff that has been an event from the get-go like Hallows End or Noblegarden or whatnot being time-limited and occurring at a certain interval, but the game design is all over the place right now and in parts seems incredibly spiteful. I feel like they try to curate how and when and how much I play however much they can and like I am the one getting played by the devs.

Yeah this is it. They want too much control. There is a lesson to be taken from sandbox style games, where players are free to do what they want. A lot of those games have real lasting popularity.

Hopefully Blizzard is awakened to giving players more agency once they see how popular player housing is (assuming that it is)

EDIT: I’m sure they see short-term metrics increase by introducing FOMO and time-limited stuff, but they are fully zoomed in

WoW…well known for not having lasting popularity.

Shoka, her eyes open!!

Explain how is old content related to FOMO ?

Fear Of Missing Out in what aspect ? :unamused:

Technically, the new achievements are new content.

They got us again!

Bliz is pretty slick for a pack of dumb-dumbs, right?

ok karen. there are charged delves coming for you then. you get raid tiers then. go do professions and horde gold or do keys or whatever it is you want from the game. every patch isnt dedicated to you mr.karen
