Outlaw is okay but no where close to what Combat used to be. I think systemlands iteration of Outlaw is the closest we will ever see of Combat IMO.

hated the legion redesign of combat. Whipping out your wimpy pistol moves , Kspree is a weak talent not baseline what a joke. RTB isnt fun.
I miss bandit’s guile and seeing the g/y/r buffs appearing, just a quite unique playstyle compared to current outlaw rogue which quite frankly can just feel very sporadic and yeah RTB isnt fun at all
I hated it in wod purely because red buff was 50% and the rest of our damage felt backloaded

yeah but wotlk combat was nutty, Killing spree with blade flurry when worked on ST? So much burst, especially with full armor pen, man what a time.
It’d be nice to get it baseline again, Killing Spree has to be the single most iconic combat ability
Honestly even though Killing spree has killed me numerous times, and deposited me underneath the terrain even more so causing me to DC, it has to be my favorite ability ever.
I love Outlaw too. It’s still retained the fast pace and cleave style while the increased melee range just feels fun to play, it’s hard to play other melee lol. Also enjoy the flavor of RTB but wouldn’t mind some of the buffs getting a rework to not be so feelsbadman when you get them (grand melee >.>) Definitely my favorite Rogue spec to play.
Roll the bones killed the specs identity. The entire kit had to be toned down to accommodate the power of the dice buffs. Adrenaline rush is one of the least impactful cooldowns now because the basic abilities do barely any damage to make use of that energy and GCD reduction.
I can play Sub and shadowstrike twice for 7k each then eviscerate for 10k. Sin can set up insane double envenom burst. Outlaw get to spam abilities that do no damage because it was reduced to accommodate the higher innate crit and energy economy.
Even the Instinct legendary is a whopping 10% because it cant be too high since outlaws damage profile is basically a horizontal line.
Vanilla, TBC and Wrath Combat > every other version.
IMO Rogue pre-Cata> every other version by a mile.
Although MoP was very good, still Pre-Cata trounces that.
Honestly WoD wasn’t too bad.
People liked WoD Sub and WoD Combat. WoD Assassinatoin had its moments too.
Those leveling perks from WoD was cool as it basically gave enhanced passives of spec defining abilities.
For example: Assassination had SND become a passive, Sub had Vanish CD reduction of 30 seconds, and Combat had 20% more damage during deep insight.

And we all had Burst of Speed
