Hi, I would like to ask if anyone knows whether an old collector’s edition is factory sealed or resealed. I bought wotlk and cata collector’s edition 5 years back from ebay and hopes that someone can clarify my doubts. I did some research but so far there’s no information about it. Or maybe I’m just not looking at the right places.

What’s the question… will it work? If the codes haven’t been claimed it should but you’d be better served opening a ticket and getting a CSR to give you their copy/paste reply.
Oh the question is knowing whether its resealed or factory sealed from the wrapping. I don’t really want to open it for its value.
eBay is literally a crapshoot so it might be it might not be, if there’s no pictures I’d avoid it and if there are then wrapping should be visible. MOST collector boxes have at least a thin plastic wrapping.
They didn’t really have a seal, they had like a shrink wrap over the box, but everything just slides out and there were no stickers on the discs.
If you see a box selling for 50-500$ it’s a scam! I’m a comic book collector and fellow collectors out there will know how to properly seal something that’s in mint condition! I check eBay a lot for the original wow collectors edition, lowest I’ve seen it is 5,500$. Highest I seen it listed (properly sealed) is 15k. Dunno if that ever sold, but I’m sure eventually as he knocked the price down it did.
