move explosive shot somewhere else and move chimera under serpent sting with the old effect that made chimera do bonus damage and refresh serpent sting. then we all enjoy playing MM again like the glory days of MoP

I guess they are already making another path for Explosive shot so that Serpent Sting can be bypassed to get to it .
Serpentstalker Trikery in MM tree does a SS shot with aimed shot.
In another thread I suggested swap Chimera and Barrage. Barrage is mainly a aoe used by BM hunters and not taken by MM hunters.
I would also do it so that Mastermarksman (a passive most likely to be taken by MM isn’t blocked by Barrage.
This would also give both specs a path to chakrams /deathchakram at the bottom if taken that makes sense.
Barrage isn’t taken by MM Hunters because the tuning on live is garbage.
Barrage takes up 6 GCDs and 180 Focus per minute, while Explosive Shot takes just 2 GCDs and 40 Focus per minute. Barrage is objectively worse damage at 6 or less targets. Even at 7 or 8 targets, you have no means to control which hit of Barrage hits which targets, the tooltip damage is the expected average, while Explosive Shot deals flat damage to every enemy it hits.
If it didn’t suck so badly, it would be an actual choice between the two.

THat’s why I am saying either swap it with Explosive shot or maybe chimera shot so we don’t have to go through Barrage to get to explosive shot.
And I’m saying that Barrage is only not taken right now because the numbers are bad. Numbers are easily changed. They are often ignored once beta is over, unless something is really egregious, but changing them is easy.
Note that there are no numbers listed on anything in the new trees, not for damage, nor for cooldown.
I agree that Barrage shouldn’t be gating Master Marksman, but I disagree that MM wouldn’t take Barrage if Barrage was better tuned, and I disagree that BM/SV are less likely to take Master Marksman,
YOu are right Barrage may be better this time . That’s if it isn’t the random pull trash from the other room ability it has been in the past .
Still think it needs to be swapped with chimera or Master Marksman put before it

i find it extremely ironic that you must first learn how to recklessly abandon aiming to learn how to shoot arrows that cause bleeding by aiming exceptionally well
