Bottom line is we can’t keep AV the way it is now. most players hate it and its making all other PVP content irrelevant. Give the players what we have been begging over ten years for!

old AV problem is that defending is 10X easier than attacking… chokepoint + a bajillion NPC around.
given 2 roughly equal teams actually going for the win (aka defending), games simply don’t end… you can already see this whenever a side decide to turtle in the current AV ( but the million NPC running around will make it worse).
also doesn’t help than iceboi/treejus can be kited into the entrance tunnel and zerg’d down by NPC in a minute.

old AV is soo utterly boring on top of being awful honor-wise, WSG/AB would become the default BG everybody flock to… and they are a lot more interesting.
With the older versions of AV, the landmines along with the strength and numbers of the npcs will quickly cut down a mounted zerg.

It does. I’ve been cut down from my mount and engaged in several PvP battles along the way that have turned into all out wars.
WSG is relevant, it’s better for straight PvP. PvPers love it.
It won’t be regardless, people love objective based games and territory captures.
If you read through the AV thread you will see he isn’t speaking for himself, he is speaking for the majority.
If only level 17s could get into AV.
Maybe the majority of criers on the forum, which make up probably 1% of the population of the game. When have you come on the forum to be like “Good job Blizz, this is great!” ? People don’t, they post to cry and fight with each other. That’s all that happens on this forum, with the occasional humorous post.
Here’s an hour of alliance zerging drek on Lights hope using 1.5 AV and getting 15~ min games.

The sample size is a term used for defining the number of subjects included in a sample size. By sample size, we understand a group of subjects that are selected from the general population and is considered a representative of the real population .
You understand that Korrak’s Revenge is full of supercharged NPC’s, right? You understand that NPC’s in AV during Vanilla were only nerfed 15-30%, right?
Dardosh hits me for 200 on my Paladin in Classic, he two or three shots people in Korrak’s Revenge. Korrak’s Revenge is still zerged and the NPC’s are still ignored, despite scaling and being multitudes more difficult than 1.5 AV NPC’s.
We’re not going out polling, this is an internet forum. People who are content don’t come here to post. People who are upset or want to fight with others come here to post. Then you’ve got me, bored at work. Try to defend it all you want, but OP is not speaking for the majority of players. Only the majority of forum criers.

It’s bizarre that people think the NPC’s in 1.5 AV would even do anything. Remember all the forum posts about how hard MC would be? I remember arguing with people who were claiming it would be as difficult as current Mythic raids. I remember arguing with people who said it would take months to clear.
How did that turn out? The same way 1.5 AV would turn out.
OK, lets find out. If we’re wrong I’ll eat crow … but we wont know until we try.
Nobody claimed those things. In fact some people, I included, basically begged Blizzard to release the game with 1.9 as a base instead of 1.12 because we knew everything except AQ40 and Naxx would be extremely easy at 1.12.
