Why is there maintenance every Tuesday? It used to be a lot less frequent. modern gaming sucks

Well I’m serious.

Maintenance is a choice, not a requirement.

Plenty of much more complex systems working at scales magnitudes larger than WoW manage to evolve and update without downtime.

And as long customers accept it and run cover to defend it, they will never invest the time and money into removing maintenance.
