Okay guys, phase 3 was great (minus the incursions) lets bring on Phase 4

Honestly think we are ready for phase 4. Sunken Temple is on farm. Most people have all their BIS gear. We need phase 4 asap

Sounds like a good time for an alt.

Phase 3 killed the game.

It’s over.

It’s hard to believe there is a phase 4 and 5 coming.

All raids will “be on farm” week 1 when they are afraid to let people struggle a bit. Though I think making ST easy was the correct move, given that it’s still a level up raid and the transition to 20 man. I hope that MC sees some progression, (aka some gear checks), so that we cannot just faceroll our way to 8/8 on week 1.

I think classic has always been about consumes and gear checks. It’s something that very low skill ceiling, you just got to put in a bit of time.

Gear doesn’t scale hard enough for it to ever come close to closing the gap on the skill gap between players.

Phase 1 was the best.

Then it goes down hill for this pally. Getting into a raid is a waste of time if not in a guild.

Priest I can just get invites without even talking lol

Unless they have lots of new things. I think it is time to bail. Community is all about logs and not enough people working on SOD for me. Game is too Meta plus it is 20 years old

Fair point

I have some stuff to complete beforehand but I am super excited for Phase 4.

(And it seems the economy is finally starting to normalize, at least on my server. For a while it was ROUGH.)

Continuing with 20mans into phase 4 (or even worse 40 mans) will finish off SoD. Phase 3 has been a disaster from a balancing and raiding POV - the transition from 10 to 20 killed the majority of raiding guilds.

My friends list was thriving in P1 and P2 - now in P3 they don’t even bother logging in. The 2 main reasons? 20man raid size and how imbalanced the classes are (and the blatant melee favoritism)

It’s a shame.

That’s circumstantial as to who is negatively affected.

I have about 15 people that I like playing with in my guild that are regularly available.
It was annoying having to pug some for our first few clears before recruiting some new people, but it’s definitely been better than “Okay who is going in raid one, and who is going in raid 2”

Gear checks require gear progression. Hopefully the gear from MC is a huge upgrade. Phase 3 gear is such a tiny upgrade noone is excited about the loot. Feels like going through the motions raiding to keep the guild alive long enough until phase 4 comes out.

Spreadsheet simulator and little to no engagement in the world itself which was indeed the main character of WoW.

At the start of the phase we had 50-60 people logging in nightly. Last night there was 2 people. These phases realistically have 3 weeks’ worth of content.

i think this is gonna be a loooong phase tbh

eh?

The backbiting of the WoW community is sad.

I wonder how many people are complaining who don’t actually play SoD. I wonder how much of this is just a “forums view” of SoD where people bring up whatever argument they liked on Reddit.

Kinda like the people who said you’d get banned for trading gold to your alts.

I mean when y’all sign up for a temporary beta test server and it dies…don’t like get mad. Lol

:rofl::face_with_hand_over_mouth::man_shrugging:

Blizzard listening when players claim they want something but they don’t.

So many people whined that BFD/Gnomer gear invalidated too much loot progression, Blizzard scaled back on ST gear and here we are, where people only really care about weapons and tier.

:dracthyr_shrug:

Never listen to players, they’re almost always wrong (remember #NoChanges? Lol)

Half the people posting never made it to or past 25 are bored and get really upset when anyone enjoys anything. It’s just crazy to me that you look at the post history and it’s just toddler screeching. For a game that’s so bad and they just hate so much they spend an awful lot of time crying over it on forums and starting threads.

To be completely fair, I can kind of get it. I don’t like Dragonflight and knowing that Dragonflight is, at least in Blizzard’s eyes, “doing well” means we won’t see a substantial shift in direction which means it is unlikely to pivot in the direction I would prefer.

Haters of SoD looking at SoD’s success know that SoD doing well means that they won’t soon get whatever their twisted vision of Classic+ happens to be, so they want to try to tear down SoD as they believe that’s the best path forward for them to get what they want. It’s a bit of a fool’s errand sometimes, especially for the common pleb, but big name streamers have had success in the past with this approach when other factors tore down the game (namely Shadowlands era and post-COVID) and haters have looked at that as their formula of behavior.
