To be fair, they did just add a grip of customization options to your demons. My Void Elf Warlock turned all the demons she could purple!

I heard a rumor that you can tame him in the battle net shop.
Still waiting on razorwings, void hounds, giant rats, and an update to pre-Cata (if not pre-MoP) beast models in general, so.
