Ok yeah, Brann is broken in Sinkhole and Tak-Rethan

For whatever reason, Brann seems to just move nonstop in these two Delves, even in the Tank Role.

Has a Rogue, with Healer Brann he becomes a literal liability by risking pulling other packs with his constant jump backwards, this is even worse for the boss fight cause he can literally cause it to reset, due to him pulling and holding agroo.

On my Holy Priest with him as a Tank he will randomly move across half the delve at times, with him having to literally run after him.

This ONLY happens with the underwater delves from the looks of it.

Anyone else experiencing this? i originally though it was just Healer Brann behaving like a moron, but i ended up noticing it was only in these delves that this happened.

He has always jumped around and everything in underwater delves like since the beginning, it’s best to have agro and keep agro in them otherwise he moves around and either pulls everything or resets everything depending but it’s not new or something because it’s been like that since start of the xpac.

Guess cause i largely prioritized Tank and Healer (with party) i never noticed it.

But now that im actively playing DPS and Healer (Solo) it became very apparent.

I wish there was an option to go Brannless

NGL I only noticed originally because when he got agro from I think a spearfisher he started bouncing around and pulling more so then I tested it again but yeah he always does that in the underwater delves and it’s extremely annoying.

Pretty sure it was tak rethan but tank brann fought the last boss standing on nothing over the edge of the cliff last time i did it, good times

This literally just happened to me.

With the Eel boss, he tends to reset it or get stuck on a rock, which can also potentially make the boss Evade attacks.

Funny enough, I’ve been experiencing the complete opposite behavior in Nightfall Sanctum. Brann just stands around doing nothing for 80% of the time. He only started attacking when I dragged the mobs to basically be right on top of him. Even then, he would periodically just stop attacking and lose aggro.

Instead of hyper-focusing on his stats, they really need to give his AI a good tuning. Right now, he’s about as sharp as a sack of hammers.

He has always been wonky in the underwater delves, its why I avoid them. His behavior with running off even outside those delves is even worse this season especially the new delves.

I wish this was possible myself. The main problem is rebalancing the delve to account for one player/class. It’ll hurt the classes that cant heal or cc consistently. The hard part is that some specs are literal glass cannons, they are designed with someone giving cover or being able to kill a mob or mobs before they get to them.

I dont think the devs want any delve to allow say, a mage, to kill mobs long before they touch them. They want some tension so the mobs have to have enough bullet sponge capability to at least allow them to close and engage, but in doing so makes the glass cannon have a harder time since they have less self healing options, particularly in combat.

he’s a lunatic sometimes.

my favorite is when his shotgun pulls things thru walls and ceilings in Sluice. very enjoyable. second only to when my stuff pulls things thru walls and ceilings in Sluice…

Yeah i have noticed that too. Sometimes he goes too far away or he dissapears through walls.

Happened to me just now. Bruh, I googled “brann afk tak-rethan boss” and it brought me here. Not only did he pull waaaay too much on several pulls, but he just afk’ed on the boss. He still kept aggro (he was set to tank) and didn’t really need too much healing, but since I was Preservation Evoker, I had like 4 skills I had to rotate through to dps the boss down. It was hella frustrating, and I died once because I tunnel visioned and got popped by a shroom.

Pleeeease fix this. These underwater delves are frustrating as it is, get the Brann ai in order.

Side note: With how unpopular underwater levels are in games like Mario and Megaman, why tf would Blizzard do this to us!

brann jumpbeard.

I usually go as DPS with Brann as a tank. I find I can get best results if I pull from maximum distance then move back. Negates some of his negative foolish behavior. What is most distressing though is Brann will NEVER self heal. I end up having to start encounters with almost no Brann health and hope I can trick the game to get Brann where I can revive him during the encounter. Oddly enough, on my characters that can tank using taunt while in DPS mode changes Brann’s behavior, He seems to wait for mobs to come to us instead of charging forward.

It would be nice if they’d rein in his wanderlust, and also give him and the ravasaur maybe 4 more yards of personal space. They’re practically right up your nose all the time!

Yeah, there are certain sections of these water delves, which includes the bosses, where brann just loses his mind. I’ve watched him just back peddle slowly for like 20-30 yards, just constantly start running in a direction, and of course it is almost never back the way we came, he needs to run into mob packs. Unless it is boss time with the big fish, then he is happy to run the way we came and reset the boss.

The fact that he has been in this state since release is shocking. He barely functions.

Oh, he also has problems tanking anything that floats. Like the underpin mobs in the flying mount that throw out the explosive presents. He likes to drift slowly towards me with those guys.

Last night in Tek-Rethan is the first time I died to running out of air in doing the underwater delves. My little mage usually has no problem. Guess it’s time to get that Mastercraft Kalu’ak Fishing Pole cause hate losing lives over sonething so silly.

Both of those Delves need an overhaul. And I say that as an Undead player. They’re the worst.

The AI for Brann is really bad. Sometimes I am just sitting there drinking waiting 30 sec for my CDs to come up so I can make a big pull and he just launches across the room and pulls a new pack all on his own. I would say it’s so bad it’s almost detrimental to the process. I would much rather go without an NPC like Torghast.
