Do you guys just not have the files anymore? I mean… Was definitely a what the dook moment when I did that quest in Four Winds expecting to see the Vale all nice like it was in MoP only to see it wrecked. Couldn’t it be phased or something?

They should since they likely will be making a MoP Classic server after the Cata one since they seem to keep going this route with Classic.

because soo is out and you can’t get to the portal unless it’s ruined. Vale looked like that even back in mop if you leveled up while soo was current.

Because it’s not classic.
You would think they could… Oh I dunno, make it “phased” initially, and when you actually got to the vale and if you wished to just go right into SoO you could speak to, oh I dunno, one of the Zidormi type bronze dragons be able to phase it to become SoO.
It’s such an aweful response of “So you can get into there, we destroyed the zone for all time”. Like seriously? You couldn’t phase it to not be destroyed? Is MoP classic just going to have this same type of experience, where the Vale is destroyed day 1?

I agree with the op, If you cant farm the Nzoth gear , this zone should not be destroyed , in spite of the fact I know its not classic. If you don’t want people to do the raid under the temple, plug the durn door.
I suppose the Kun’lai summit raid ( what was it Moshugan vaults or something ) is blocked also cause its not classic?
I am glad I did not murder my main to do this stuff, if that is the case.

Back in 5.4 folks were asking for a phase option since it made some quests wonky like opening the gates with npcs who died in the destruction, and if I recall they said they no longer had the files for old vale.
they have the files. you can visit it normally via time thingy. it has a phase… so idk why it’d be wrecked by default, but its a remix. maybe it already happened in this version of the timeline.
