Think they’re gunna rebuild the statue?
i dont think so
It’s funny how they tried to burn bridges with WoW and here they are bringing it back. Are they going to put that orc statue back together again?
add an update to the first part
After the temper tantrum they threw and the destruction they happily showcased to the world, I should be surprised Blizzard would be willing to work with them again. However, Blizzard certainly doesn’t want to miss out on that big, juicy Chinese market. I’m guessing they couldn’t find anyone else in China willing to partner with them (at the least for the same or better terms than they had with NetEase) so they came crawling back. I’m happy for the Chinese players able to get back on their servers, but upset NetEase seems to have a monopoly in China with these regional ports; I also don’t like them as a company.
I’m not surprised. The Chinese market is vast, and Blizzard was never going to just let that money continue sitting on the table.
thats the only downside with working in china
It’s not really that interesting. New management (Microsoft), new people in charge and new / renewed business dealings.
It happens all the time in business.
Rebuilding that statue will no doubt cost a lot of money.
Interesting or not, it’s weird they decided to renew the partnership after they trashed the office building…
I guess they do deserve each other.
I think the massive pile of money can help soothe the non existent hurt fee fees.
Plus the powers that be can always have made backroom deals that whichever key individuals was deemed responsible for instigating or spearheading things were otherwise…dealt with…and not part of the org or whatnot.
Not surprised as BE is now apart of MS and a new boss is at the table. Happy for the chinese players to have their characters/realms back
