I’m thick skinned enough today to take the git gud hits, but how the hell did you guys do this guy alone (ok, that just sounded wrong! lol!) I’m not a great player nor piddly poor, but neither a grunt. Kind of that middle of pretty good on a good day, and just to the left of medium on a bad day.

So, there you are. My gear level is around 309 - not sure what I missed that it isn’t higher. I have done a bunch of side quests and have gotten some.

I guess the rose-colored glasses and dopamine hormone hit of a first date upon returning a few months ago is wearing off. This shouldn’t be this difficult.-- and why the hell is the graveyard so far away on this one? Like really?! A boss guy you know people will die on, and another way to force players together. I looked at premades, but everyone has moved on (I’m guessing from that areal

ah yes, that. Fight the four tentacles around him, not the boss himself.

I probably just didn’t get far enough into doing that when I researched it before things went down. But honestly, unless it’s dungeons, or even a complicated get lost quest, one shouldn’t have to look up a pseudo boss. Goodness, Shandris is right there. Enuf with the whine. Thank you for answering, just got one of those: demoralized and disgusted feelings about my game play. (and was ready to quit all over again and go back to FF - the community here, except for the rare few, like you, kinda sucks)

He’s the keeper Fryakk infuses with flame after you first encounter the druids of the flame.

(It’s a show-and-tell of one of the Emerald Dream raid bosses, so the little fight is a bit noisy with abilities firing off and it’s easy to miss the instruction about what to do that get shouted out - confused me the first time I did it too)
