Ok so why are Shaman better DPS than rogues and dps warriors?

That’s rather small compared to the shaman toolkit, but regardless, rogues have nothing like this. That’s my main point.

Well, I can’t argue with your logic if your position is “I don’t like PvP, PvP sucks anyway, so I don’t care if my suggestions hurt PvP further” but I personally think that is a bad take.

Against All Odds
Damage dealt to targets at least 2 levels higher than you has an X% chance to make your next finisher free, hitting as if it was cast with 5 combo points.

Debilitating Strikes
Your stuns now cause targets who are stun-immune to take an additional X damage per hit and reduces their attack speed by Y%.

One DPS rune and one Utility rune to increase Rogue viability in PvE without affecting PvP, as requested.

People always act like it’s so hard to design things that affect one portion of the game more than others, but it’s really not. There are tonnes of things that distinguish a boss fight from a PvP engagement, and it’s not too hard to target them in a way that’s both effective and flavourful.

There are a thousand ways to balance PVE enough to make rogues not redundant without destroying PVP, so please just leave the thread if you have 0 imagination.

Funny thing about this mentality…

When you do the “support class should do less damage” argument…

You end up with Classic raids where there’s 20 warriors and rogues and enough resto shamans to give WF to the melee (5-6)
There are ZERO DPS shamans because “a DPS shaman gimps the raid.”

Are you somehow expecting Shamans to sympathize with you being in the same perdicament? Ok, we have our utility rogue (Kick/Distract), more shamans please.

(And yes, Shamans can kick, at range no less, but given that it’s part of our damage rotation, I’d rather not save it for kicks.)

Is it an amazing feeling having to justify your position in a raid outside of the token? Is it?

Don’t worry we’ll get super nerfed and just revert to totem twisting bots at 60 so the rogue and warrior crybabies can have their pretty numbers.

Elemental shamans don’t care about gnomeregan bosses having molten core levels of armor. Enhancement shamans are still mediocre although they contribute more than a dps rogue.

Holding an ability to time a kick is the same as spending energy. IDK why people are so stupid here.

Good ideas, but to the best of my knowledge there are no abilities in-game that utilise those variables. Which means dev work from scratch.

It’s not hard to design things. It’s time-consuming to code them, and even more time-consuming to ensure they don’t break the rest of the game.

Hah. I can tell you have never worked in development/coding if you don’t understand how even the “smallest” changes can create an inordinate amount of work and complexity, especially when dealing with 20 year old legacy software.
