Ok so what is the best way to get 24 people for Vault of the Incarnate now?

LFR queue is an hour at this time of day, and I kinda feel like I cannot continue the Main Story until I do this raid.

right? The Raid is part of the MSQ? so…I’m kinda just standing here cause I wanna do the MSQ in order as much as possible.

or am I mistaken?

also, for the purposes of experiencing the story, would I be alright just doing the last part? (Fury of the Storm), or are there things/developments in the other two wings that I would need to experience (other than just bosses and loot)?

There is no MSQ that requires the raid clear. The raid is old content and effectively is skippable.

Yeah, you don’t have to do that quest, at least for story completion.

People still do Vault LFR for cosmetics and stuff, but it’s definitely gonna take a long time, possibly hours, since it’s an older raid and no longer current.

I’d honestly experience the whole raid.

I did what you listed there, at first, but I ended up really enjoying the other fights and seeing the rest of the raid. Especially the spider boss.

People queue the last part more than the rest, because the final boss drops a cosmetic skin for your proto-drake that players still want.

Yep, and even though gear getters better LFR runs start to take longer in general after a few weeks and especially now.

Doing LFR the first few weeks of a new raid you have a good chance to get normal/heroic raiders trying to get LFR tier pieces, so they can basically carry bad groups through.

ah, I see. so I can just do the raid whenever, then. one thing I always appreciate about my other MMO is that Raids are always their own self-contained story, and do not interact with the MSQ in any meaningful way.

So I just finished the MSQ zone quests, and I did the lead up to the Raid. so now I just go back to Valdrakken to start on the Faction quests then, and I’m not missing out on anything important?

Either wait for the Fated season where Vault and Abberus will be in rotation, or wait until The Last Titan(ish) where it’ll be soloable.

Yup, you can even queue for multiple LFR wings while you do your quests.

The raids are an overarching part of the story, just not required to get further in WoW.

You can skip old raids and go into the new ones, but I’d say you’ll wanna do the older stuff to see and experience the entirety of the expansion’s story.

is there at least a “tell me what happened” NPC for these kinds of things?

Nah, not for these raids at least.

Trust me.

Skip.

SKIP!!1!

I did LFR Vault of the Incarnate for story reasons.

Let me tell you: It was BLERGH!

First, there was a billion years of queue (obviously it was actually just a few hours, but it felt like a billion years lol)

That was the easy part.

Then I got into the raid.

And 99% of the raid group was just people in leveling gear who didn’t know the fight doing LFR just to see the story. Can’t complain though, I was one of them lol

First attempt: Obviously everybody flew out of the platform instantly and it was a wipe.

(Then one of the two guys who knew what they were doing asked if we were trying to gear up on LFR and everybody said things like “story” and “a quest sent me here”, it was really funny lol)

We were explained the fight, but we still wiped again and again. Then the two guys who knew what they were doing gave up and left. Then most of the raid left. Only around 5 or 6 people remained.

One more hour of queue later…

A new group. Almost no one knew the fight lol

Those of us who remained from the old group explained the fight to the new ones. A couple of wipes, then we finally win.

Now, I’ll admit, there were some funny moments here and there, but it wasn’t worth it lol

Good news I guess? During Season 4, when Vault is the Fated raid that week, LFR queues will be quicker. So that’s an option.

Hey! I liked the spider boss in there, that was cool!

Probably the truth though, lol.

I haven’t been in there for a while, because I’d always be the one teaching people where to stand on the final fight, there would always be like only ten of us downing her at the end lol.

It tested my patience, but I did love it the first time around.

It’s two hours for me…
I’ll trade.

As others have said, you can skip it, you don’t need to do it.

Fated raids are coming back next season, meaning each of the DF raids will rotate weekly which one give s4 gear. You can hang onto the quest and wait until then since LFR queues will be much quicker then than they are now when it’s Vault’s turn as the weekly fated raid.

They need to turn LFR info follower raids.

It is kinda stupid that the moment a raid tier is over, it basically becomes locked content for everyone else. Something needs to be done because farms for it don’t kick in until the following expac launches.
