mop pvp gearing = have a friend help you win some 2s game, after not very long you have enough to buy pvp trinkets and get pvp power bonus, both trinkets roughly cost 3750 together which is the amount you need to unlock pvp weapons, then you farm your weapons and you legit can compete in arena with green gear and trinks and weaps

shadowlands pvp gearing = do torghast, get a legendary, buy wow token to get legendary, farm bgs to upgrade crap gear 7 times, then youre ready for arena, to upgrade more gear more times, hope youre not just starting because the cap is 8k, and no one will inv you to an rbg buddy so get to bg’ing :smiley:

like how have we come this far? this isnt even wow, the scrolling combat text isnt even legible, the nameplates are worse than ffxiv (theirs are non existant) the animations… WTF did you do blizz

Yeah I went from full time pvp’er in wod to pve carebear gold farmer after that, and i cant even keep interest in that now sorry bliz.

Getting started with pvp right now is rough. Alliance has basically no groups for anything pvp related. This is right now.

If you do the content without being fully geared first, you get trashed on. Especially late in the season. I started dabbling this patch, but without a dedicated group to queue with, I just gave up bothering with it. Wanted to switch to an alt but it didn’t feel like the effort of doing everything else pve related first was worth the effort at all.

WoD PvP gearing = No gear? You’re scaled up to just below honor gear level. Get full honor gear in a day or two of PvP, then start working on your conquest gear. No PvE required. PvP gear scaled up in PvP, so conquest gear was good enough to do normal or maybe heroic raiding with friends while you got PvE drops.

yeah but mop was better even then because wod required you to get a rng roll trinket out of ashran. that was the start of the cancer

and not to mention wod pruned all of our fun abilities and gave us these hideous models

Are you saying that because you only wanted to do arenas? Because I did mostly Ashran, and most of my 17 conquest-geared characters got that trinket because of how much time I spent in Ashran.

yeah… i think its pretty widely agreed upon that ashran was horrible. and still is cant believe you still have ot play it for epic bgs.

and ofc i just wanted to arena.

Season one month 1 was great.

Latter on to today…yeah, no. That season 1 start had a secret. we were all low geared.

last comp stomp with more than half 200 ish pvp clearing 30k hp said lets go face real players on this alt I fixed up a little.

death came often. Dude can you let me get my aimed shot off at least? No…sigh.

fun fact, by playing the game you can obtain gold without the purchase of a in game coin from the shop. Amazing feat I know. As for the RBG grouping, just simply make your own group. GG EZ

Or if alliance with roll with ruin. They do get wins. Or, yeah they can farm a BG. But it takes 2 to tango. and 2 to farm. YOU get a monster turtle AV it usually means both sides wanted it.

Raid or death (iirc he was in the past a raid dev and people liked his work as that even)…now dungeon or death…not clicking for some/many.

why the pvp grumbles never really go away. I can see, understand and respect the 100’s of (wo)man hours to make a raid. I can really.

But…some don’t like raid. Its like taking out the trash. A chore you do once a week. and if like me with an older kid…hell you pass it off to him if you can lol. Life lessons son. Adn my kid being smart as whip goes you don’t want to do it. And I go well yeah…why you to will have kids one day. Semi-paid labor.

It was considered very edgy to diss Ashran in the forums. Most of the people who did never played it. A lot of people spent all their gametime there. In fact, when they closed Ashran without notice when the Legion prepatch started, so many people had nothing to do and quit that they had to bring it back half-finished. We were in there fighting level 110 mobs and bosses on level 100’s. It was pretty special.

People who only did arena should have had a way to get that trinket, too.
