Best thread we’ve had in a long time. Elves don’t belong in the horde. I sincerely hope they plan to betray those filthy mongrels. Next we just need to rid the alliance of space goats so we can make room for the elves.

Well my first post would suggest I thought they meant to post this in GD, not here.
and as Eijian pointed out, this is pretty standard stuff for people to be dead serious about in GD. Especially Void Elf players.

Retail has gone on for a decade with the Belfs in the horde, so OBVIOUSLY this post isnt serious. Maybe there’s similar posts on retail, but when someone says something will happen that we all know didnt happen, ya have to maybe apply some logic and consider that maybe, just maybe, a post dripping with sarcasm and blatantly false predictions…is humor.

you do see that the people posting on retail avatars are all saying that posts like this that are completely serious are made by velf posters on the retail forums all the time, right? you go search on retails GD and you’ll see 39475934875934875345 posts threads where people are arguing, in complete seriousness, about this exact thing. it was also posted by a retail velf not a classic character. it isn’t “for lols” 100% like you guys think. a lot of velf retail posters really believe this. which is why the first response was saying they might have meant to post on GD.
Retail is live, we don’t know how it will end, as opposed to Classic/TBC where the script played out over a decade ago.
I really didn’t think this would be taken literally… 
you posted on a velf though and triggered the crap out of those of us that have gone through the great helf wars of retails GD. XD
As stated, the one GIGANTIC, dead give away difference that I intended to make it clear the post is satire is when I predicted an event we all know never happened.
Retail allows for crazy predictions, since nobody knows what will happen.

What is a void elf ? and why does it care about BE joining the whorde in TBC?

notice how it’s all classic avatars that are saying it’s sarcasm and all retail avatars are mentioning it might not be because it was posted by a velf? “be sharper” is not a dig i’d make at people who were intelligent enough to notice the context that classic people weren’t “sharp” enough to catch. they made it on a velf on purpose. the classic people are like “lulululul #nochanges” but the retail posters know, from experience, the ridiculous amount of changes that velf posters want to the game. had it been posted on a classic toon no one would’ve said a word. you guys don’t know the context as you’ve likely never been in one of the literally thousands of threads made on retails GD over the years asking exactly for this. for belves to be switched to alliance. that is literally a real thing for alliance players on retail. it’s not a joke. it’s what they demand all the time.

Have you ever once considered they might be right? Maybe blood elves do belong on alliance. Horde doesn’t need a race that can’t even be warrior.
in retail belves can be warriors. if you’d be in any of the helf threads you’d see a lot of them are asking for alliance belves. erm… i mean helves. that can also be shaman and druid. context, my dude.

It never made sense to me why the Blood Elves would knowingly ally themselves with the Undead, especially after what the Scourge did to their kingdoms. I mean, I know they were badly effed over by Grand Marshall Garithos and that sort of tainted their relations with the Humans, but I also figured they had only joined the Horde to get close enough to the Undercity to set it and all the Undead on fire. 
Great story. I would definitely love to be there and help the unisex Blood Elves when they turn the tide.

the reasoning is because of how much the belves respect syvlanas. she was ranger general and literally died and became a banshee trying to save her people. her people = high elves. which then became blood elves. if she hadn’t ended up the forsaken leader there would’ve been no real reason for them to join horde beyond “garithos is mean.” you know? lol
No self-respecting player would be caught dead playing a Blood Elf.
