And if there are no unused spells in my spell book, what then? Is it a Blizzard problem then? Or is me playing the game with my class’s abilities a player created problem? I didn’t create this game.
I also have an DPS preservation evoker build that does some (but not good) damage. The healing is bad, it cannot count as a healer. You could theoretically have 12 buttons bound and play as a preservation evoker DPS.
Don’t even use any of the abilities in your spell book. No matter what class you choose, just right click enemies and melee them to death. If you’re a healer, just pray.
My first thought too.
Depends on your build but if you’re in paragon build you dont use exorcism or crusader strike during wings
It’s HP = 4 > Verdict/Divine Storm > HoW > Judgement > Ashes
Aff also can’t fit on a bar and is getting another button tomorrow since Soulkeeper is replacing Inquisitor’s Gaze most likely.
Why would a hunter ever use Arcane Shot once they have better offensives?
Is it bloat? could call it that.
I imagine someone has a use for it. But it does less damage and costs more to cast than something thats better, so why even keybind it instead of just using the better, cheaper attack?
I dont call it bloat, exactly.
Bloat to me is when there are too many abilities I HAVE to use and HAVE to keybind.
I mean, we only have so many fingers, lol
I like a good solid FOUR key rotation with FOUR attacks on the keys forward of those… with decent CDs and FOUR defensives sitting below.
Beyond that…yeah, it feels like I could call it ‘bloat’
Still better than ESO, other than the crosshair targeting that I prefer.
That is what I am trying to say just because you have them doesn’t mean you have to use them . If there is another one that is better use it .
As a MM I have Serpent Sting (active ability ) picked but I don’t keybind it . It leads to Hydras bite (for aoe build) . THis is in my Class tree and I have Serpent stalkers Trickery (SL Legendary ) in my spec tree that fires a Serpent sting for me which uses the hydras bite for me .
Agreed, I have Sinister Strike and Dispatch on my bar. I build the combo points, then I spend em. Not sure why people insist on putting so much junk on their bar, 2 buttons will get ‘er done.
It’s a problem created by Blizzard. They make the extra abilities “optional”, but they are the superior throughput choices, so people feel obligated to take them in order to not get booted out of runs.
Tell me you havn’t played a modern demon hunter without telling me you havn’t played a modern demon hunter, It’s no longer 4-5 buttons that it was in SL for Havoc, it’s a lot more now.
But yet there are other abilities that lead to those better then ones that are not as optimal . So the lest optimal ones are picked to get to the better ones. Just don’t bind the less optimal ones .
I’m saying don’t bind the ones that don’t do the greater damage. They can still be picked to help get to the better abilities of course but they don’t have to be keybound .
Even if you use one of the meta build which I use a variation of for hunter it is still player created because none of the builds be they meta or individual builds are made by Blizz .
All builds are player created so if there are too many buttons , well then we did it to ourselves and sometimes more buttons doesn’t mean more damage , where as picking the right buttons does . Also a lot of the damage is not from active abilities persay but from the passives that enhance them and passives have nothing to do with ability or button bloat (whichever you want to call it ) because they don’t use buttons.
