- Help because I need a way to level all my alts (mage, hunter and priest) or 2. Mental help to stop me from making these alts. Please help.
Ask yourself will you do anything with these alts once you cap them or will they torment you because you dont have the time, energy, or will to upkeep multiple alts? Hope that helps!
Well I guess I just want to have something else to play when I get bored with my main lol
Well thats fine, outside DH / Evoker, i have 2 of every class, one for each faction. But I figured one i don’t really care for retail that much and two there’s no way i can upkeep and stay attached as a collector for all classes. So I had long shower thoughts and boiled it down to druid and paladin ![]()
Lol those are what I’m leveling run. Druid is tanking and pally is (obviously) healing
There’s not even anything to “do” with alts this expansion tbh
I’ve casually amassed 10+ extra toons between the Winds of Wisdom buff, TimeWalking dungeon spam, etc… you don’t even get decent gold from them anymore in this expansion. Alts are a dime a dozen in retail
Shadowlands did gold-making right, there was even a sizeable “passive income” element with the mission table ![]()
- log in on alt
- collect a few thousand gold just standing there/with just a few clicks in the mission table
- log out, repeat on next alt
I really miss how easy it was to make gold off of alts back then ![]()
You can make about 1500-2000g per alt with dragon flying world quests alone on a daily basis. So if you make 1 of every class… wow has 13 classes right? thats about 26000g daily or how ever long it takes for the dragon flying race world quests to reapear. If 4 showed up daily every day and you did them every day of every month you would get 728,000g which is more then enough for a couple wow tokens ![]()
Sadly as i said before i dont really care to much about retail
and can’t seem to stay attached. So its to much effort for my lazy butt.
Not true really, there’s like 2 dragonriding quests per week… not a new one every day. It might be like 6-7k gold per week/per alt
Also requires the hassle of manually travelling all over the continent, compared to just standing around next to a mission table and collecting thousands of gold per day (…per alt) with just a few clicks of the mouse it’s no comparison
oh i was under the assumption these world quests appeared daily and 1 in each dragonflight zone
and true its more effort than a mission table just thought to offer that advice if people is struggling with gold.
Nope
If they were a daily rotation, yes, the gold would be decent.
But still, even if they were a daily reset the zero-effort mission table from Shadowlands still beats it out in terms of efficiency since the mission table requires 0 work other than a couple clicks of the mouse while standing there (in exchange for potentially thousands of gold)
compared to the last two expansions where i got 20+ alts to level cap, i only have 6 right now; the rest are 64-66.
Making alts is not an issue, it is a hobby! Make more alts!
I do around 20/30k/week just by doing gold quest with 1 alt.
I don’t mean to say it’s a lot but it’s not a bad mindless activity you can do when bored and watching shows or listening to podcasts idk
Ive got over 100 characters over a few Bnet accounts.
Just play what youre in the mood to play at any given time.
its a video game. Its there for entertainment.
I have four level 70 Warriors, and I’m working on my third Hunter… An Undead so I can do the heritage armour quest on him tomorrow.
Alts, can be addictive, and at least they aren’t alcohol or hard drugs.
That’s it?
Amateur.
I have like 3 of every class.
Alts are fun,i have 5 characters 425 and over and 2 more at 419,alts rule
Just keep making alts, you can’t stop, be like me and have all the alts you could ever want and neglect them all.
As someone who’s played on this account since 2010, I’ve had every class leveled at one point or another, so every class is within an expansion or 2 of being capped, at least.
Are y’all making duplicates for fun or just don’t have everything leveled yet?
Honestly I miss not having everything at a high level. It was fun to be able to choose to level a new class and not feel like it was a literal waste of my time.
There’s 12 riding quests per week, the first batch at the start, then next batch lands on Fri or Sat. They’re 500ish g each, so, it’s still only 6K+ per week per alt, just doing dragonriding. But, you only need a 60, and they don’t have to be geared, so there’s that.
There’s usually about 6-10K gold per week in WQs (in just DF, not including the other zones) but easier if you’re geared.
Still, it all takes a bunch of time.
