This thing backfires LITERALLY 80% of the time. Something is wrong with it, blizzard fix this. It was never this bad.

It does have a really bad backfire rate. The rocket helm and mindcontrol helm seem to fail far more than in vanilla as well. Rockthelm hardly lasts more than a few seconds when it should last 30seconds consistently.
The workaround for the netgun is making a macro that uses a free action potion then netgun.

Dawg…you are a druid…who cares if it backfires. Just SS into travel form/any other form then back out again.

Post again when you have tested it 500 times, and it backfired 400 of them. Then you can say “80% of the time” and be correct.
But 80% is meaningless if you only tried 5 or 10 times. It is not SUPPOSED to work 4 out of EVERY 5 times. That isn’t random.

Also the jumper cables XL did work in vanilla, but in classic maybe a 10% function rate and I’m being generous.
also the pet ai for guardian is jacked too.
Now that I think about it, nades are not stuns, they are incap I think, but orc stun resistance FTL, even thought it’s not actually a stun.
The beginner jumpers don’t work at all, at least mine never did in classic until I scrapped em. In vanilla they were not very good, but at least worked maybe half the time.
Kinda wonder if the the retail RNG system they are using is the same or just incompatible with the vanilla values and can’t produce the same results.

I’m not sure but try to use it less and see if the backfire rate reduces.
I think that if you use it too close to the end of the cooldown it backfires more often.
I’m saying this in case you didn’t actually delete it.
Anyway, could someone experiment with that and tell us if it’s so.

It’s actually insanely good when it backfires and launches you at the target.
Net backfire -> blink -> rocket helm and you’re a good 40 yards further away from where you began.

pre fap, pre spider belt, or don’t use it a time where a backfire will kill you.
k thanks i can think of that myself, but the point is this is not how it was something is wrong
