Ok All You Mythological Creature Experts

Hrm . . . manticores and wyverns? And I mean wyverns in the draconic sense . . . By all accounts they took manticores, gave em wings and called them wyverns which erks me to no end . . .

Minor one, Cyclops.

Due to how Warcraft Orgres are, being one-eyed, Cyclops aren’t really a thing to my knowledge and if they are, they probably have the same model because Blizzard lazy.

Dropbears and platypus.

Tauren are minotaurs.

I’d love to see something like a Kenku. I know we have bird folks but we don’t have cute raven folk

Where are the ducks, Blizzard?

I’d like to see merfolk that weren’t naga, gilgoblin or ankoan/jinyu. A species like mythical sirens and mermaids/lads.

I’d also love a lot more African, Latin American and Japanese folklore added to the game, as well as aboriginal Australian. There’s so much they can do

Vulpera don’t count?

I was thinking of selkies.

Not at all. Vulpera are cute little fox people and I love them, but they’re not even close to the kitsune myth that I’d want to be able to see or play.

People would moan because ‘oh no fox-eared people’ though so we’ll never see anything like them in WoW. They can’t handle the neko so they definitely wouldn’t be able to get over ‘fox people’ especially after people moaned about anthro foxes.

If we ever got a proper Japanese area in WoW I would hope they add those and a lot of other legendary creatures and humanoids. I love their folklore.

So much this, I adore their folklore as well. I need to do more research on it in general but it’s so rich and I love it.

I’ll give chimaera a pass but the ones from mythology are not like the ones in WoW where they’re just two headed dragons.

Vulpera are not Kitsune, they’re fox people. Kitsune are demonic foxes that can shapeshift or possess people.
