What mythological creatures that you typically find in “fantasy lore” are not in World of Warcraft?
Just off the top of my head, I don’t remember any Minotaurs in WoW. How about Hill Giants? I don’t know…help me out here.

Aren’t tauren kind of minotaurs? ish? I’m very sad we finally got fae but they aren’t anything like the actual winter court in mythology.
Maybe sphinxes?
I don’t think we have any mimics or changelings.
I don’t see any gorgons. I guess naga have similar looks perhaps, but not the medusa, turn you to stone gorgons.
Tol’vir are the sphinxes
Those are centaurs.
But yeah, as noted above, Tauren are essentially WoW’s take on minotaurs. Just as wyverns are WoW’s take on manticores more than they are wyverns. In fact, I would argue that WoW is missing true wyverns. And cockatrices.
Cockatrice is probably a creature not seen.
Um… Hi?
May not be mythical but it’s a crime we don’t have ducks.
Cyclops?

So far, only ducks.
Every other creature in this thread is in WoW. Cockatrice, minotaurs, sphynx, manticore, centaur, giants, changelings, mimics, etc.
Open up the DnD Monster Manual and flip to a random page.
Oh wait I know, manbearpig!
Quilboar exist.
Those are manpigs.
Manbearpig is half man, half pig, and half bear
is the correct answer…
How can you have:
but not the “real” thing??
Tauren are literally minotaurs.
IIRC those are a D&D staple monster? And TSR took the concept from Arthurian myth? World of Warcraft went a different way with their worldbuilding and didn’t include those.
Ahn’Qiraj, Uldum, etc.
Invented by Gary Gygax for D&D. May fall under licensing by WotC, though the Beholder certainly does and Blizzard uses that concept anyway with its “Gazer” demons. Who knows?
If you’re referring to the metallic bull gorgons, those are from D&D. Again, WotC and licensing. As far as medusa goes? Yeah, Blizzard conflates them with Naga which are an altogether different monster.
Gronn.
Nalorakk in Zul Aman.
They use the names, but do the realize the fantasy?
I guess Ettins would be kind of like hill giants. What about trolls hiding under bridges?
That depends. Common elements of various depictions? Yes, or we wouldn’t recognize them. Exactly down to their original source myth? Maybe, if those are even available.
