There is a food item on the AH at the moment selling for 1500g each. Its the Mackerel Snackerel and there are a couple of thousand or more for sale at that price.
Anyone have any idea why that would be so? Is it some weird mass sale to try and lure people to buying a lot for something worth a great deal less? Or am I missing something important about that dish?
Evidently it’s currency for a recipe for Blueberry Muffins - I imagine it’s to attempt to take advantage of collector types who don’t want to try to find the fish to make the food item. At least for NA servers according to WoWhead. EU servers average 2 gold for the same.
I always test the waters when something seems profitable but could also be too good to be true.
Buy one or two and relist, or if you have the item post a couple, to see if they sell. This way you don’t commit yourself to something that is unprofitable or a waste of time.
I get money off the AH from flipping sometimes but it can be risky. Sometimes other people do the same thing, other times things you think are worth more…are actually just not.
wow AH is basically Econ 101.
Try to identify areas to make gold but don’t blow all your gold on something that isn’t tested.
