I dont believe them, at some point when the population of these servers drop below a certain treshold, they will close them. Characters will be transfer to some other server.

They just announced MoP Classic and said they are beginning development if WoD. Highly doubt they want to keep continuing SoD which gives them no money when they can keep releasing Classics which do so.

This is one of my alts and this toon is doing exactly that.

Yes…they did say they had no plans to shut down SoD servers, gtfo out with your doom posting.

SoD requires a subscription…just like every other version of WoW. You do know how this works, right? It isnt about what version of WoW you are playing, just that you are continuing to pay a subscription to do so. Some like retail, some like classic, some like era, some like SoD, and we are all paying a subscription to keep it going.

It’s a SEASON. And you people said the exact same thing about SoM. You don’t even play SoD so get out of here.

Try again champ, got 6 60s in SoD.

And they never said the same things about SoD that they did with SoM regarding a potential end date. Also, SoD has been dramatically more popular than SoM ever was. The only seasonal thing about SoD is that we are going through phases and they are quicker than they were back in Classic and/or Vanilla.

Why dont you go back to your failed classic servers. Is Cata even a thing anymore?

I literally gave proof of them saying so. You are actually so dumb. And you are also muddying the waters, no one is saying they are for sure going to keep updating the game after they finish their last patch. But keeping the servers on, at least for the foreseeable future of a few years is happening. By their own omission repeatedly.

They said they have just released the final stretch. People have already pre purchased MOP CLASSIC. And WoD has been announced that it is being worked on. They legit get nothing out of having SoD still around when they have all the anniversary realms around too.

What final stretch? We still havent seen the scarlet enclave raid. You really arent grasping this whole both classic players and SoD players pay the same subscription thing, are you? Thats all they care about.

Also…ROFL at WoD classic. I bet that will go over even better than Cata classic did. I would be honestly shocked if they even took it that far.

So this is proof you have never stepped foot into any of the other Classic modes. You can buy boost and WoW tokens there along with mounts and pets. SoD brings in zero money. All it does is cost money. They get nothing out of keeping it running. You all said the exact same thing about Som too. Raging on the forums saying it was never going to end.

They are already working on it. I pre ordered Mop Classic so…not making this up. They began the presales almost an hour ago.

Purchased: Sha-Infused Epic Pack.

What part of…they have already stated they have no intention of closing down SoD servers dont you understand? Its already been linked for you as an official blue post.

And there it is, you are just disgruntled Cata classic player doomposting on the SoD forums. Grats on buying more microtransactions I guess, you really showed them.

We are done here, go back to your own sad forums.

MoP Classiic will bring in more money with presales than SoD has over its entire duration.

World of Warcraft®: Mists of Pandaria Classic™

Sod brings them ZERO money. All it does is cost money to run.

Got evidence of that bud

Yea. Link me all the micro transactions you get in SoD…that’s right…zero. It brings in no money for the company. Only costs money.

You realize that you have to pay a sub to play SoD, right? There are players who only play SoD. Hell I actually cant think of any SoD players that play Cata classic. I know some that play retail and era.

Wtf do you think a sub is? Are you honestly that dense?

You’re the one who is dense. The sub is same all across the board for every version of the game. You do not need different subs for different versions of the game. One sub pays for everything. A sub is also not a micro transaction.

Alright so there we have it… TWO people like SoD enough to defend it. So all two of you can keep Blizzard from shutting SoD down.

Every other version of the game.

Ok, you really are that dense… Allow me to spell it out for you…slowly.

Player A plays SoD.

Player A doesnt play anything else.

Player A pays a sub to play SoD.

Take away SoD…what do you get?

Having players with an active subscription on a version of wow that takes less resources (both content wise and hardware wise) than the other versions of WoW is an excellent way to make revenue. Blizzard deciding to get rid of sod would have them lose more active subs. Not every game needs micro transactions to make revenue or be successful, ya dingus. If anything this shows how surface level your thinking is.

Im also not going to argue with some dumb loser whos doom posting on a forum about a subject they have no proper knowledge in anymore than i have now lmao.

No it wouldn’t. SoD numbers have never surpassed WoW Ascension private server that SoD was inspired by. And there are literally two people here arguing for SoD to stay.

And what if it does eventually end just as I have said? Then what?

MoP Classic. I just bought it for $80 and that is just for ONE of my accounts. And now that one has so many micro transactions throughout it. It will bring in money for its entire existence up until WoD is released. SoD…was free, brings in no money and is part of the standard sub that allows play for every version of the game, brings in zero money and costs money to run. It does them no good as a company to keep it running.

If Blizzard right now this very second shut down every SoD realm in existence, it would save them money. The very select few who would unsub because of it would not outweigh the cost of actually running SoD servers.

MoP Classic presales will outdo 100% of all the revenue SoD brought in during its entire existence.
