I thought maybe the hate was overhyped, but no, it’s actually terrible.
Square icons only? No bars? Everything’s an icon, no bars? No ability to form custom groups? I’m not even sure what tracks my debuffs on the enemy. That seems like a pretty big one for DoT classes. We do track cooldowns that are three seconds, though. That seems… great. Do we seriously need to track the global cooldown on every single cooldown? That’s got to be the dumbest choice of all. Lots of visual clutter for no benefit. Oh, and tracking both duration and cooldown happens at the same location? That’s a pretty terrible choice too.
Blizzard, just copy NeedToKnow.

I’m sure the people who have failed to develop a good UI for 20 years will all of the sudden get their act together, just have faith.

Press X to doubt. All we will be getting in replacement to what’s being killed is temu level addons the made in china or “we have ____ at home” when you see a superior product on the shelf that works better

You can turn off a bunch of the default things it tracks.
They will get there. They have an example after all.

Hmm until they are as good as what’s being cut I’m in a prove me wrong kind of mindset. And the built in voice chat that nobody uses is a prime example

The issue you’re having is that the CD manager in the game now isn’t the one we are getting. Also, the spec you’re playing now isn’t even close to the one you’ll be playing. The entire game is changing, and everyone keeps making improper comparisons using the current game as an example.
There is some alpha gameplay available where very beginning stages of something like the information targeted spells weakaura used to give now being instead displayed optionally on enemy nameplates as part of the cast bar. That’s just one example. And we are basically 5 long months away from playing the expansion. Very small studios like ggg etc are able to crank out entire leagues every 3 to 4 months. They can surely make a lot of improvement to a simple UI before that

When I was a kid, I had this Atari game that literally had I think one button. It was impossible. It was very simple, but not easy. Complexity doesn’t necessarily equal difficulty, and simplicity doesn’t necessarily equal easy. And quite frankly I don’t care if it is easier as long as it’s fun and doesn’t require me to continue to need hours upon hours settint up a new UI every season to track 100 different abilities and debuffs etc

The good players don’t matter in blizzards eyes they want the nub players more that’s all I’m getting from these changes. And if they don’t hold up many of us will move on

Yeah I mean they definitely are making these changes for new and more casual players I would imagine. I just hope it results in a less complex game for me too. I’m getting old.

I have an okay setup for Ret, but I had to use an addon to move my power bar.
Nah I like my games complex I don’t want simple I hate obr existing it’s not even playing the game
I think that thing is pretty dumb. I like arpgs. Stuffike path of exile, etc. We basically spam one skill the whole time and just blast lol
People have great example of leaders, yet you hardly see good leaders
Its hilarious to me how when it was a WA it was popular but as a default panel its now ugly and trash?
Also addons can reskin it / change it.
Quite sure it’s easier to clone functionality of software than be a good leader - especially when the source code is public.
POE is far from simple, wardloop cast on dmg was a fun build XD
Monkey see, but monkey do not do.
You do you, but to expect the devs whom let their UI stagnate for this long to suddenly create equivalent copies seems a bit of a reach.
Where’s the fun in mashing one button I don’t see it we have tiger ability’s and combos for a reason
