OH N O and why is it a thing

What is the purpose of OH N O? It doesn’t make the fights any more fun. It just makes Brann useless for a few seconds. As a melee character, especially on boss fights like Overseer Kaskel it just makes it last to long.

Flat boost at the cost of dealing with an extra mechanic.

There’s other stuff to take if it bothers you or you don’t feel like doing the mechanic.

It shows up no matter what I take. Is there one in particular that keeps it away?

You’re using the pinged augment chip, yeah? That’s causing the bot to chase brann and stun him. Swap that for any of the other curios in that slot.

Doesn’t usually bother me. It just makes some of the boss fights more difficult and its frustrating, especially on melee. lol I will try another, thank you.

Or you could dispel him to prevent the stun.
Or attack the bot that’s walking over to stun him.

Tank Brann is intended for healers. Using the augment chip is a trade-off of increasing Brann’s health and damage for having something to occasionally dispel. For healers, its zero issue.

The bigger question is why are you using tank Brann as a dps?

Technically he doesn’t have to be using Tank Brann to use Pinged Augmentation Chip. Any Brann can use it.

Only DPS that I would expect to use Brann as a tank are those with off heals (rets, chaman, Spriests, etc) or have issues due to lack of either armor or pet (so Rogue and mage)

Pinged Augment Chip is basically this season’s Rage Idol where healers primarily benefit from using it on Brann. It’s an extra mechanic to get us to use our dispels.

It can also be attacked, but that just seems like more work.

I’m starting to see value in using tank brann as a mage at least. But the PAC is not good for DPS. The increased brann damage is a trap. He doesn’t do damage remotely close to that of a DPS player, so even 35% is not making much difference. The real benefit comes from when you stack that with the damage increases from healing him, which even a hybrid isn’t doing much of.

If you find the 10% HP increase valuable because it lets him live 10% longer, try the comically large magnet instead. It’s effectively 20%, regenerates between pulls, and has no downside, other than you might not have it for the first few pulls.

it’s actually great for when my hunter is trying to drop threat so brann doesn’t drag the mobs ontop of my body and keep attacking them after I feign death
