Knew this was going to happen. I called it. People said it would deter the DDOS’rs when they saw characters(and onlyfangs) revived. Guess who’s right? Other day we had 3 in one day, and before that 2 times. Now again. We can partially blame HC death revival for also ruining retail wow side of things.
Which guild or streamer is being targeted now?
You can’t prove that DDOSed would have stopped if they didn’t do the HC revive.
What is HC revive?
Onlyfangs was raiding and got targeted twice. On the 2nd DDOS, many of them died. They were going to disband because they were the target/reason but blizzard decided to revive ALL their characters+other players who died during the DDOS.
Has OnlyFangs even raided since they died? Last time I looked they were not raiding during the most recent attacks. It’s feeling like they are just an easy one to blame for this.

I feel like it’s justice… they made a blanket rule and then broke that rule for the streamers, because of privilege. This isn’t the first time people have died due to server issues, they’ve earned this problem and can only blame themselves. It’ll go away in time, but for now, good.
If HC is the reason login servers get DDOSed so frequently (assumption not claimed by me), can they maybe separate HC and retail login servers? Can they just make two instances of each account, one for classic on one server, one for retail on another server, since the modes share nothing anyways?

I heard they were, there was a recent reddit post warning people not to do keys or play HC because onlyfangs was raiding other day.
I looked at Sodapoppin’s Twitch just now and the last time it says he streamed WoW was two days ago. No one is on now.

How about we put the blame where it belongs… on the people doing the Ddosing.
And focus your negative attention on them instead of their victims.
I agree with this, because DDoS happened before the streamer thing even took off. I think it’s someone bitter about something. Maybe they got banned or something.
They can just target the HC server—focused attacks help save resources. DDoS attacks aren’t free
Blizzard was getting DDOS’d long before streaming was even a thing.
It might not help if DDOSers don’t care and DDOS both anyway. They just want to inconvenient players.
That was such hogwash. It only encouraged more attacks by proving they could get Blizzard to throw their own rules in the gutter.
They got so much attention from Blizzard giving special treatment to streamers, of course they would do it more and more.
It was always at Blizzard’s discretion. Everything is at Blizzard’s discretion. Lawyering doesn’t work when it comes to the ToS. Blizzard can ban you for no reason whatsoever and there is nothing you can do.
imho it’s time to can hardcore. it’s not gonna work if blizzard can’t have some sort of safeguard. they said they would revive people if any ddos were to happen after this. we’ve had ddos before onlyfangs and people weren’t revived and people caught in the crossfire of onlyfangs ddos still haven’t been revived lmao. you really think blizz is just gonna keep doing this? it’s just pointless now, shouldn’t had revived anyone at all. dem da rules…unless you’re a big streamer lol.
