Oh how the turn tables turn

Reading this forum for the last few days, I feel I must point out an issue i’m seeing. While this forum is known for complaining about literally anything, there are actually some legitimate complaints about some things in dragonflight such as events breaking when too many people are around, professions being easily brickable unless you look up specific guides on how to avoid it, ect. Apparently you aren’t allowed to complain about these things because blizzard worked really hard on dragonflight and if you have any issues with the soup making minigame having a good explode when too many players are around, its your fault for not server hopping in warmode at 4am for it.

Believe it or not, wow is not a game that is either 100% perfect or 100% poopoo. it can in fact be a good game with some flaws and trying to belittle anyone for pointing them out isn’t gonna do anything but drive actually passionate players away.

Okay my rants over feel free to tell me i’m an elitist.

bro what .

quick version: this forum is known for complaining about stupid things. Dragonflight has some legit issues, anyone who points them out is told they’re a big dum dum. Turns out a good thing can still have bad in it.

Congrats on the most middle of the road, vanilla take ever.

Are you trying to tell me the world isn’t black and white? Idk about that… fairly certain you can only be hot or cold.

i mean yeah, i’m literally saying that people are pointing out legit flaws with dragonflight and people are trying to act like said issues dont exist and the person pointing them out is at fault because reasons.

I’m saying this is not a good mentality because it inherently stops good criticism from getting anywhere to the detriment of the product as a whole.

I think a lot of the 2021 WoW refugees to FFXIV came back, but XIV’s ‘best community ever’ rubbed off on them…

You think this is bad? Complain about the game on the XIV forums and you will be hate brigaded until you wish the mods deleted your post.

For some reason their mentality is a ‘red vs blue’ one, thinking both games can’t coexist. It’s dumb.

I feel like this has always been wow. BFA and SL were just the absolute worst though. No redemption for those steaming piles. You can throw WoD in with those as well. On the top of the other two specifically, but still it’s down there.

Its funny, i’ve been called a blizz shill for years on this forum, but apparently whenever i stick up for actual complaints i’m suddenly some filthy neutral.

What drove me to this? Money? Power? Women? Men?

or was i just born with a heart full of neutrality?

I would rather complain about events being a bit buggy or professions needing rough edges smoothed out over “This system (azerite armor, covenants) that is a core feature of the whole expansion is fundamentally flawed and will make the entire game significantly worse” starting from the beta and not being sort of fixed until over halfway through the expansion.

If professions being a bit jank is the most hot button issue there is currently, I’m going to call it an overall win compared to recent history.

Love that title. Ofc turn tables turn – that’s what they’re supposed to do!

The issue with the forum is simple.

Trust level 3.

WoW isn’t as fun as it used to be.

I guess thats fair. I don’t share your distaste for azerite / covs but i can understand the sentiment. if you have an issue with azerite, it isn’t going away ever, whereas proffs eventually even out without any dev input. Really what i’m commenting on is that players are actually pointing out the flaws in these things only to be met with derision because how DARE you insult the most perfectest expansion ever.

Don’t get me wrong, i’m liking df so far but professions atm are a complete mess unless you do all the exact right moves which very clearly was not the design intent behind skill trees.

Which is true but its overshadowed by the hundreds of troll/irrelevant threads that a selected few choose to litter on these forums (they know who they are).

It’s no excuse for Blizzards low/non existent engagement with the forums but if I was doing that job I’d hate to have to sift through a bunch of whiny posts just to find something that may be relevant
