The world is extremely invasive so why are you making this game even more so? There is never a point in time where a whisper to someone means I need to add them as a friend or see their name highlight in the world. This is honestly really gross. Or that I have to HIDE my location because you enable it on default? Why yes, we love stalking huh?

I think it’s dumb that it includes guildies, but I also think people vastly overestimate how much others care about “stalking” them.

It’s sadly a part of online gaming. Angry M+, unhinged players, etc. The amount of social media constantly needing information is above and beyond. There’s no point ever someone should need to even know where I am, let alone this crazy idea I show up on a list just because I grouped with them. It’s okay not to know things about people and not to be known.

No idea. They reorganized the social window to include stuff like this. So maybe other versions of the game are unaffected if those didn’t change for them.
It’s in a drop-down menu at the top right of the window, iirc.

What is the feature? I keep to myself so I don’t keep tabs on what goes on with the social features. Actually I had my first whisper from someone (that wasn’t an automated guild invite message) in years the other day! That was nerve wracking!

I got annoyed with it because I want friends to have a blue name so I spot them easily but now everyone seems to be a blue name 
I wish we could disable this feature entirely.

Opt out seems like a good idea… so long as the rest of us can see you are anonymous for some reason before we invite you to anything.

For once. Just once I’m going to dish back the same vitriol given to me for not regularly engaging in mythics, raids and rated PvP and people saying to me why bother playing an MMO
If this is an ONLINE game. There’s a chance you will be interacted with in a non positive way. Play a single player game if this upsets you
