Oh boy tree changes in midnight

Here’s how the talent points will be distributed:

  • 3 points for the class tree, although no new talents will be added there.

  • 3 points for Hero talents, which will introduce a brand-new talent line.

  • 4 points for the specialization tree, where the new “apex” talents will appear. Of these:

    • 2 will enhance existing abilities

    • 1 will modify an ability entirely
i hope this goes well and we will find out more on saturday at gamescom

I bet for Unholy… a Rot or Minion oriented talent will appear.

They better bring back Necrotic Plague and do away with Festering Wounds!!!

 :rage: :anger:

No new spells, no new talents, no new runeforging

I mean they said new talents/spells. I hope they add a runeforge.

There was literally a section that said new talents including an “apex” talent.

That and as usual, we’re going to see some more changes beyond that going into a new expansion.

They defiantly hinted in the Mercelian interview thay wounds might be leaving.

In before we discover that one of the unholy capstones is yet another replacement for army of the dead!

Talking about in our own talent tree not for apex nor hero tree.

The Apex is at the end of the Spec Tree. It is the Apex (or end, captstone) of the tree.

Raising the level cap every expansion and adding new talents has always been trash-tier design imo, since all it does is further complicates things on Blizzards end, especially with balancing.

They add new talents until there’s too much, then they condense or remove, which often changes how an entire class plays. Numbers constantly keep going up until they eventually condense those down too… it’s just silly design.

I’d prefer keeping classes the way they are now without constantly changing things up, unless reworks are absolutely necessary. Makes players who enjoy their classes able to continue enjoying them, as well as makes things less difficult for Blizzards inept balancing team.

They should keep the trees wrath like length. And change stuff around.make stuff baseline and add something new in its place. Or just adjust stuff here n there

Of course thats one suggestion of many

At this point, there is really no need for the Class talent tree. If 90+% of the nodes can be chosen, the tree is just a convoluted way to checkbox baseline abilities. They should just scrap the Class talents, make most of the “choices” baseline, and allocate the active abilities to certain specs.

For example, give Icebound Fortitude to Frost. Give Swarming Mist for Blood DKs, and add something similar for Unholy.

Wow. More points to spend on a tree devoid of anything interesting with auto-pick talents. Nothing can get me so hyped.

On another note, the warrior class tree ,being one of the last ones with interesting capstones, will let me get spear and troar, which is actually cool!

If only the prune from DF to TWW didn’t kill the joy of class trees

We have 20 Minions. If we want number 21, we can waste a point in Turn Undead.

Any change is good at this point

That was a Paladin ability.

All this speculation based on a partial screenshot that could be nothing more than a background thrown together is why you guys are always so disappointed. You speculate on things you would want, hype yourselves up and when it is inevitably wrong the classic “they never listen to us” phrase is everywhere.

Gotcha! “it isn’t Turn Undead that’s a Paladin ability”

Yet, you know exactly what I am talking about… yet still have to copy paste and type a paragraph of nonsense.

Fine

Control Undead

Why would anyone waste a Point in a class tree anywhere, on this useless talent?
And don’t you dare say Role Play. You made your opinion on that a while back lol

For people that play the game you should see how its not useless. Does someone you guys have put down for years have to tell you how this thing would be useful? Kind of goes to show that playing the game doesnt actually help with thinking on how you would use an ability.

This would be helpful for Blood and Frost in terms of damage output for 5 minutes so long as you have access to undead, and they are within the content that you are doing.
