os there any way to get the old UI back by chance, specifically the icons at the bottom.

Yeah, that’s sadly not what I’m wanting unfortunately. I do like the default UI, now that we got edit mode and stuff. It’s just this constant replacement and breaking of other parts of the UI that irritates me.
I’ll be downloading the SL micromenu addon just because it has functionality to keep the only parts of the new micromenu I like while replacing all the rest; I dislike most of the new design outside of the guild icon. Guess I’ll unfortunately have to wait until they fix the size bug, though, and it’s a shame the addon couldn’t fix that too.
Sadly no, because Blizzard doesn’t believe in giving people toggles so they have a choice in the matter. 
As far as getting the old icons back, you’ll have to resort to an addon for it, as Sendryn, Amarlly and I were talking about. Shadowlands MicroMenu on Curseforge - you might need to scroll a teeny bit for it, but it’s there. But the blown-up size of the new menu isn’t fixable with that, and supposedly is a bug. So we’ll either be waiting until next hotfix for a fix on it, or a couple of months - you never know with Blizzard.

I like the icons, the new cast bar animations on the spell themselves though…getting used to it hardcore.
i dont care that mucho about the cheap mobile game looking new icons
But the new button animations… who ever came up with that needs to be fired ASAP. It literally is a nerf to gameplay. WTH blizzard.
If you don’t like the new look of the micro menu buttons…use this addon I got it when they put in that new nasty UI for DF…its called Shadowlands Micro Menu…
Are they actually bad, or only bad because they are new and you haven’t adjusted?
They are good because now I can actually see them. My eyesight didn’t allow me to see the previous icons - they blurred together and I couldn’t make out a single symbol on them. Now I can see them clearly and easily.
This right here. The amount of crying has been insane.

They should have a slider though that allows size adjustment.
This is absolute proof that GD will literally complain about everything.

If only we knew that people complained for months after the initial change that they were hard to distinguish due to size, and lack of color. This is exactly the change that people asked for.

I personally really like them over the previous UI. That being said, I still use Elvui. But, if I had to use base UI they’re miles better than the original imo.
That should have been relegated to an option for accessibility, not hoisted on everyone that had no problem with it.

i personally like it. sorta brings back the old UI look and makes it a bit more noticeable instead of having a line of icons all the same color of light transparent gray.
