I personally think Forsaken should be able to be Paladins. We see them in game numerous times. They shouldn’t need an alternative spell effect.
I’m not going to argue the semantics of changing and adding new spell effects. It is ridiculously easy and it boggles my mind that blizz doesn’t add more glyphs that could expand class fantasy.
I’d still prefer the void get it’s own class after what we saw N’zoth and the Black Empire was capable of doing.
Then there’s the Artificer/Tinkerer which is easily a slam dunk and writes it self easily.

I’m 100% onboard with a new class, especially void inspired. I’m also onboard with Undead getting Paladins (And all races getting all classes honestly).
The lore has been bent over backwards, and it should be (In some fashion). Undead should be researching daily to find a way to prevent suffering from the light. There’s always someone wanting to overcome a boundary.
If Rand Al’Thor can achieve the greatest Dragon Reborn achievement of all time, Undead can work together to stop the light from affecting them. Same for every other race with any other class.

Given the introduction of Calia Menethil and this new “light” undead. It seems this is the direction they are most likely going in the case of the Forsaken, which is maybe why their customizations really kinda fell short.
I’m super on board with new race class combinations. It’s something that’s long overdue for the game. I wouldn’t even be upset if it was limited to the core races as long as it was implemented. I could see the argument made that allied races are more specialized in their solitude and haven’t had as much time with outside cultures to absorb and adapt to new classes.
The April announcement has potential to be great. And I’m really hoping they are going all out. New allied races, new class(es), old abilities returned, pvp talent trees return, level cap 70, new unique class abilities, class based epic quest lines… this is just turning into a wishlist.

I’m curious how the Undead don’t remember the afterlife considering you’re very much alive in the afterlife. Was that ever explained?

It covered almost everything I’d like to see. The only one missing was an arcane themed one so you could have a cool Nightborne arcane casting paladin.

Based off what you just said, I looked up all the old Paladin tier sets (here: https://www.wowhead.com/paladin-transmogrification-armor-sets-guide#legion-raid-tier-21) and the funny thing is a ton of them would work just as well, if not better, for a Void Knight as a Paladin!

Yep, there’s a ton of purpley ones.
It’d have been kinda fitting had Retribution been the shadow counter part like priests have.
Although, what I’d have really preferred is shadow being an aspect of the Light. As it can not exist except in it’s presence.
Void being the absence of all, darkness being the absence of Light.
Void/Darkness vs Light/Shadow would have been a better way to set it up. Instead Shadow is void for some reason.

I love this idea to death
No literally…to death…as in it dies and never sees the light of day again.
No more classes. No more specs. We already got way too many effective classes considering each spec is meant to be competitive in all types of content as well as be special and unique and this community can not handle even relatively minor differences in balance even when said differences don’t even matter in the scope of the content difficulty.
Something like this could welcome every race having every class. That way it opens up to race/class skins. Pull the plug Blizzard this sounds like a great idea!
