I feel bad for adding to the alliance numbers when so many people are saying alliance may be the dominant faction. But gotta be honest.
Also, I don’t know if alliance will be dominant considering shaman is getting some nice stuff and it looks like this season will have a lot of pvp involved and horde was better for that.
I mean good to have a poll as I said looks like with changes horde will be at 38% and alliance at 45%. Still want to get back to classic with a dual wield shaman with misplaced servo arms. Who knows maybe we might get some dual spec in vanilla to help drain some of this damn gold.

Rogue or Warlock for sure. Never mained either of them in the past, but I absolutely LOVE the addition of alternate roles for classes. The new class roles are flat out one of the most exciting things to happen to any version of WoW that I can remember. Legion class quests are the only thing that I can think of that comes close.
I prefer DPS as a main role in dedicated static groups with good tanks, but I enjoy tanking when I’m PUGing. I’m competent at group building and leading, and I’ve played the game for like 15 years, so it often feels like a total waste for me to play a class that can’t tank. In Vanilla, I really don’t like that I’m shoehorned into Warrior and Warrior alone in order to actually play the game the way I want to, and SoD is legit opening up more than half of the classes in the game as playable options for my prefered playstyle.
Bruiser DPS w/ tank offspec for life. Ride or die.

I always play Orc Shaman as my first character. That’s what I’ll be for SoD.

So I’m guessing it’s still a bit alliance favored? Though horde was catching up.
Why play alliance when you can play horde? Better races, better questing. You get to kill gnomes. It has it all.

Geez, 20% paladin. I have always played one but I have to admit Im a bit put off by the sheer amount of players who are rolling Pally.
Usually Mage and Warrior dominate but looks like times have changed.

It’s obvious that Alliance is going to be the favoured faction. They are better in PvE anyway and the Paladin buffs are far more substantial than the Shaman buffs (at least at lvl 25). Both Ret and Prot are going to be very strong with their runes and Holy will be even better than it is now. Unless Shamans get a Kings/Salv totem there’ll be pretty much no reason for hardcore PvE’ers to roll Horde.

UD warlock first… Given the low level cap, I’ll probably level cap something on alliance as well, just to finally see their content (haven’t played alliance since og 2004 open beta) compare quality of groups, pvp, bg timers, and if I make two warlocks, what their succubi’s names are.
From there I’ll decide on extra toons depending on whether I’m having fun and/or have time for more toons. Mage (arcane heals and frost) as well as Ret both looked interesting and maybe a feral to farm herbs/ore with.
Blizz needs to once again focus on the Alliance. I need the Alliance to stop sucking. Maybe is Asmongold and Esfand both go over to the Horde then the entire playerbase will move over to the Alliance.
i’m fairly certain any important faction-specific buff will be available on the next set of runes for horde (e.g. salv, kings). i would definitely go into this picking simply the class/faction you want.
i wouldn’t be surprised if some changes were done to priest racials (e.g. fear ward access)
