Why does Blizzard not help with pointing out ninjas? Instead it is illegal to call out ninjas by name on the forums. So you are supposed to tell everyone in game to not join that ninjas group which is impossible on mega servers. Would be nice if there was an official list by blizzard or people got flagged with some sort of ninja warning when they invite others to a group.
Reincarnated from the Salem Witch Trials?
The reason itâs not allowed is the same as it is for any justice system: innocent until proven guilty.
And people are wieners and canât be trusted at face value.
You can report ninjas and they get the loot removed if blizzard looks into it and is able to confirm they lied about loot terms and ninjaed an item. They have the proof. At least that is what I have heard.
because blizzardâs actual solution to this would just be personalized loot. with a loot system like vanillaâs its not up to blizzard to draw the line of what class should get which items and when. there are too many grey areas
obviously there are a few exceptions, e.g. tier set pieces, weapons like crowd pummeler, etc
half the time they just send you the email/in game mail that they actioned the person then dont action the person
happened in lone wolf disc, dude caught a thread for ninjaing staff, blizz said they looked into it and removed item/took appropriate action, w/e
next day the dude is back in the disc gloating again, still pops up occasionally to gloat about it so i assume he still has it
Some games do the âWall of Shameâ thing.
But Blizz just never has. Not their style.
Because the vast majority of players donât understand loot rules well enough to know what is, and isnât, allowed, let alone report it correctly on the forums.
Neither of which is on their public forums
Maybe try a GDKP and you wont have to worry about ninjas
Except when the leader ninjas the pot.
better do it quick though, only 5 days left before the gdkpocolypse hits
I just avoid the Ninjas byâŠ
Largely playing with Friends and Friends of friends who have some accountability.
Have yet to have any loot ninjaâdâŠever.
Because things are misunderstood all the time. Considering that you could be on that list as well, would you also want to be judged by your peers? Not everyone is level headed. Not everyone is clear of bias.
The last thing you want is a list that you are officially on that could be REALLY easy to get on and almost impossible to get off of. Lets just not do this.
Because there would be no moderation or verification of these kinds of lists. Anyone would be able to post anything to it whether true or not. Server discords that try this have to have 1-3 mods dedicated to them like a full time job and even then their rulings are still disputed and mocked by those that donât agree.
You are fine to make your own list somewhere, but I donât see Blizzard ever doing something like this
Didnât Classic in 2019 end up getting an add-on that essentially created a server-wide blacklist for players, where it would automatically block group invites to and from a person on the blacklist and people who didnât have the add-on? Seems like people already were making their own blacklists.
Only one I know of is the old âBenedictionâ blacklist addon that they used. It also had a list of players from other servers blacklist I think, but not sure. I never used it, but it wouldnât stop you from doing anything it would just announce to you or in group chat if you joined a group or opened trade with someone on their blacklist
Much rarer for a raid leader to risk getting a bad name by yoinking a pot after putting in all of that effort to put together the raid than it is for a single random hunter to decide he wants an item and to roll on an item you want âeven though heâs not supposed toâ.
