Off hand dagger info

Hello!

Can someone who is more knowledgeable than myself explain main/off hand daggers damage and stats, I’d appreciate it!

Currently I am using main hand 424 PvP ilvl dagger and off hand 421 WPvP dagger. Conquest daggers only come with crit/vers for off stats and I prefer mastery over crit.

But because they are weapons, I also have to consider the flat damage, not just stats…

So what I am wondering for PvP is if the mastery daggers will be viable even if they are actually 3 item levels below.

How much are those 3 item levels going to matter for flat damage and off stats? Would love some info, thanks in advance!

Best way to know is to sim it.

Raidbots can show you which is worth more DPS in a variety of scenarios, the basic default being a 5 minute single target no movement raid boss fight with all raid buffs. Turn all that stuff off in the drop-downs, tweak the fight length, maybe try a few different ones, and compare.

If you don’t want to sim it and want some likely misleading but ballparky info, I used the stat weights sim (user beware) to see that each offhand weapon DPS is worth 1.39 DPS, each point of crit rating 2.84, mastery 2.65, vers 2.50, haste 2.17, each Agi 7.08. These are a snapshot for my sub rogue in a raid single target scenario in his gear at the time.

You can use those numbers to calculate the difference in DPS to see how far apart/close they likely are to each other. Just remember that directly comparing items for your character for your scenario will get you better results.

When considered along with the rest of your gear, the difference will be less than .5%, if that much. I’d pick the one with the better stats.

As mentioned, you can run a sim on Raidbots.com. I recommend using “light movement” for 60 second fight and turnoff all raid buffs, potions and phials.

I bookmarked the site for future use. I didn’t have enough conquest this week for a second dagger, and I’m not sure if I would be able to directly adjust weapons on the site, never used it before
