Which of the three warlock spec do you find harder to play?
âHarderâ?
I switched to Demo after years and years and years of Destruction, mostly because my VW didnât seem to be able to hold aggro.
Neither is what I consider hard to play.
Way, way, WAY back in Wrath, I was still doing affliction, but I never cared for the âDoT the entire camp and keep DoTting and kiting themâ game play.
I was more a drain tank kind of player.
But I havenât played affliction in over a decade, so I canât speak to that.
I primarily play Demonology.
On this one I went with Destruction.
Iâm not sure where could call Destruction atm at my current level and not having played that spec since Shadowland.
I would have to say Affliction but thats just simply because I havenât gottwn the hang of just yet.
harderâŠnone of themâŠless funâŠafflictionâŠtotally murdered it when they stole Life Tap⊠Zero interest in it since then
thats because you LOVE having FUN, lol.
Demo is a blast to play.
Iâve mained Demo since the end of Legion, I find it incredibly fun. I wouldnât call any of the specs âhardâ, but building up Tyrant is probably the least forgiving.
You have to cast nonstop for like 20 seconds and time Tyrant for the very end. If you get hit by a random ability and need to move, the whole thing gets scuffed.
Iâve played destro on and off for years and itâs not really difficult at all. Iâm currently playing demo and I love how the spec plays. Itâs got a ramp up time to really get going but it has a few things to manage. Not really difficult but more so than destro imo. I canât speak on aff. It seems the most complicated but Iâm not sure if thatâs actually true or if itâs just because Iâve not really taken the time to learn it.
The hardest to play is probably whichever one feels the clunkiest to play, which for me is Demonology.
Demoâs basic rotation is easy, but itâs a little hard to efficiently line up my CDs, especially while moving.
I mained a warlock for a very long time as affliction. Vanilla - Wrath was my super fun affliction lock pvp times. Itâs terrible now but I still love it. I have tried the other 2, and even did all of BFA as demo and I still struggled with that one.
I disliked it before I took the time to figure it outâŠbut MAN demo is one of the funnest specs in the game.
God I hope they dont trash it doing some overhaul at some point. Ive got like 8 or 9 Demo Locks lol
Demo today is super fun. Quite possibly my favorite spec in the whole game right now.
Affliction seems to have more things to keep track of. Itâs also a pain to player at lower levels because things die too fast for your dots to really take hold.
Never played Demonology because it doesnât appeal to me.
Destruction is ezpz.
oh yeahâŠit has definitely changed for the better over time.
Felt like too much going on or something when I tried it years ago.
Now they have it very close to perfect.
I really like being a destruction warlock, I found that harder to play this expansion because no matter what I did people were complaining about my damage.
Affliction is just so busy. Youâre keeping up dots on everything nonstop. I played demo for some time but itâs not as fun for me as it once was. Currently loving destruction just because it feels more straight-forward.
They all pretty simplistic so itâs hard to choose.
Affliction by far. Shard management is a pain, tracking dots on all units and knowing if you can put out another UA or not, haunting and soul swapping⊠Nah Iâll pass and go destro if I want cleave.
I think Affliction is the hardest. You have time your dots appropriately, and keep your eye on them the entire time, because if you miss a damage window becauae 1 dot wasnt lined up right it tanks your dps.
Destro and demo were so much easier for me to pick up
I wouldnât say that demonology or destruction are difficult. Affliction takes more effort based on the content that youâre doing because I feel like the default UI isnât great for tracking a lot of dots on multiple targets. There are some addons that can help out with that though if thatâs an issue that youâre running into.
