Of all the movies to directly copy...why Marvel Eternals?

Eternals in the comics has been out since 1976. In the comics, the Great Machine is a sentient mechanism that creates and organize the life of the Eternals and regenerate those who are deceased.

Actually using text from that at the entrance of a necropolis dungeon for my 5E D&D group.

“Nobody Sees Death.
Nobody Sees The Face of Death.
Nobody Hears The Voice of Death.
Savage Death Just Cuts Mankind Down.
Sometimes We Build A House. Sometimes We Make A Nest.
But Then Brothers Divide It Upon Inheritance.
Sometimes There Is Hostility In The Land.
But Then The River Rises and Brings Flood Water.
Dragonflies Drift On The River,
Their Faces Look Upon The Face Of The Sun,
But Then Suddenly There Is Nothing.”

Especially since Jack Kirby just took his idea from his New Gods creation at DC and brought it back to Marvel with him. Altered a few things, and named some of the characters like Thena after ancient mythological characters.

So just to let you know, Eternals had been being worked on for some time as a movie but has been in comic books since 1976.

It sort of did in some ways, and made quite a few kung fu panda jokes actually.

Creation myths with automatons isn’t a new story. WoW wasn’t the first, and Eternals wasn’t either.

So we ignoring the whole Titan Watchers(robots) being created to watch over Azeroth’s sleeping world soul and build massive facilities to care for the soul and imprison the old gods that mean to harm the soul, all the way back in wrath?
