Of all the major hybrid classes

Which is your favorite and why?

  • Paladin
  • Druid
  • Monk

Sometimes I like to tank, mostly I like to heal, and I always love to DPS. I’m interested in your take for your favorite multi-role hybrid.

Currently Paladin… why? Because I don’t think they did Druid justice with the hero talents.

YES agreed! I’m gearing up Druid as my main and the hero talents are all extremely lame.

If shaman had a fourth spec for tanking, I wouldn’t have needed to post this lol.

Monk by a landslide.

Druids are ok, shapeshifting bars are annoying in game and overall not a huge fan of their theme. I really don’t care about tree huggers and nature fanatics. I have played druid for a long time and really can’t get into it like I can with my other characters.

Paladins thematically are much cooler, but one of my least favorite classes to play in game. They feel clunky, don’t like heavy armor, too much yellow, and worst of all, they cannot be vulpera. This class is very interesting lorewise but gameplay is just awful. I’ve never had fun playing a Paladin.

Monks are mobile, snappy, unique, and have tons of utility. I like the fight-to-heal playstyle of Mistweaver. I’m also a big fan of their mint green color scheme (my favorite color!) I like their lighter armor. I like their cute little utilities, like the zen cloud and the port to Peak of Serenity. They have unique animations. They are humble and light hearted.

Yeah, monks definitely take the gold for me here.

From a personal stand point I’m a Druid lover through and through.

I’m a Druid in Classic Vanilla.
I’m a Druid in Classic MoP (challenge set hype???)
I have 7 Druids in retail.

Love being an animal!

From a gameplay-push and practicality perspective I’m a Mistweaver monk. It’s honestly some of the most fun healing and has a very strong ‘base’ kit that gives a lot of passive healing which I enjoy, you’re kinda like a DPS that occasionally pressing Sheulun’s Gift/Crackling Thunder and bubble reactively PLUS tea gives us beautiful jade wings.

Druid. My other two are fun, but Druid has it all:

  • Instant flight form, even when falling or running
  • Gather or click most things in flight form
  • 30% speed increase indoors with three more speed boosts
  • Aquatic form so I can live underwater forever
  • Broad hit AoE
  • I can tank, mdps, rdps, or heal
  • So many cool mogs
  • Class Hall mount can carry a passenger
  • Class Hall fit is fire
  • Tons of Lore and special interactions in certain dungeons
  • Ability to solo 95% of the game

I’ve been having fun with jade lightning being an actual button now. Having a chunky ranged heal that’s almost always off CD was very needed. Sheilun’s is good but it’s nice having another option.

Man, that’s really close.
I’d actually have to go with druid, even though I main this pally. Animal forms are a big factor, but the overall nature part appeals to me more and more as I get older and more a tree hugging hippie. Gathering is second to none. You can play literally every role.

I agree only because druids getting uppity about zen flight is why its not full speed

I actively dislike both Paladin and Druid, and I do NOT heal. Monk is great, though… it’s a really fun class.

Monk. Paladin is kinda boring and the light theme is just meh. Druid i cant see my mogs. Plus druid and paladins are a dime a dozen as some of the most played classes. Monk has that chefs kiss to it.

100% having 4 ‘oh crap’ buttons has helped immensely. Did a group save using revival today too.

Remember to cast Revival responsibly, kids. I used Revival on the poison debuffs on the last boss of AK and immediately got two people killed from the orbs that get spit out upon debuff removal. All I could say was “oops…”

Monk.

Because alcohol.

They’re still multi role.

Ranged DPS, Melee DPS and Heals.

Monk for mobility. It’s the only class of the 3 that I enjoy all the specs.

Druid all the way, personal bias. The lore, look, and play style just vibe with me and haven’t found another class that is as satisfying.

Really hoping to get into monk one day, played it on and off in mop but never stuck to it.
